EDD account number never arrived - what to do?

Ugh, same boat here. Filed in early August and still nothing. EDD is such a mess rn 🤦‍♂️

Here's what you need to do: 1. Keep trying to call EDD. I know it's frustrating, but persistence pays off. 2. Have all your info ready when you call - SSN, ID, employment history, etc. 3. Ask them to verify your identity and resend the account number. 4. If you can't get through, try contacting your local assemblymember's office. They can sometimes help push things along. 5. Check your spam folder, just in case. 6. Be patient (I know, easier said than done). The system is overwhelmed. Hang in there! It's a pain, but you'll get it sorted eventually.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/0UZGuPWGErg

This happened to me last year. Turns out they had my address wrong 🤦‍♀️ Double-check all your info is correct when you finally get through!

The whole system is broken af. We need serious reform. Anyone else think its time we start protesting or something?

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold that way.
