EDD Money Network card deposit delay - normal timeframes after certification?
Just certified for my weekly benefits yesterday (Sunday) and I'm wondering how long it typically takes for funds to show up on the Money Network card? This is my second certification period but the first time I got paid it seemed super fast (like next day). It's Tuesday morning now and I'm getting a bit anxious since my car payment is due Friday. Is there a normal timeframe I should expect? Does it vary a lot between people? The EDD website just says "allow time for processing" which isn't very helpful!

In my experience, EDD deposits to Money Network cards usually happen within 24-48 hours after certifying, assuming there are no pending issues with your claim. Since you certified on Sunday, you should see the deposit by tonight or tomorrow morning at the latest. The EDD system is SO INCONSISTENT!!! I've been on unemployment for 6 months and sometimes I get paid in 24 hours, other times it takes 3-4 DAYS with NO EXPLANATION! It's absolutely ridiculous that they expect people to budget when they can't even tell us exactly when we'll get our money!!! And forget calling them to ask about it - you'll waste your ENTIRE DAY trying to get through. The whole system is designed to frustrate people enough to give up!!

i got a question is this diffrent from direct deposit? i selected direct deposit when i filed and my money goes straight to my checking account usually tuesday morning

one time i certifyd late on a tuesday and it took til friday to get my money so maybe certifing on time helps it go faster? just a thought
