Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my paid family leave claim. It's been pending for a while now and I'm starting to get worried. Does anyone know if gig work affects unemployment if your regular job cut your hours? I've been doing some food delivery on the side to make ends meet.
It can affect your weekly benefit amount. You have to report any income you earn, even from gig work. They'll reduce your benefit based on what you earned that week.

PFL claim status - Impossible to reach a real person on the phone. Any tips?
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my PFL claim status. I've been trying to get through to someone on the phone, but I keep getting an automated message saying they're busy and to try again later. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on how to actually reach a real person? I'm getting really frustrated here.

Pro tip: if you can, try to find someone who speaks another language and have them call the non-English line. Sometimes those lines have shorter wait times. Just make sure they can explain your situation clearly!
I'm in the same boat, been trying for days. This whole situation is making my anxiety go through the roof. How are we supposed to survive when we can't even get basic information about our benefits? 😫

Hey OP, when you call, ask them to put a note on your account about the DOB issue. That way if your claim gets held up, other agents can see whats going on. Saved my butt when I had a similar problem!
