If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Have you considered reaching out to your local representative? Sometimes they can help push things along.

I hadn't thought of that. How would I go about doing that?

0 coins

Just google your state rep or congressman. They usually have a 'constituent services' section on their website where you can submit your issue.

OP, what state are you in? The process can vary a bit depending on location.

I'm in California. Does that change things?

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, CA has its own quirks. Might want to check out the EDD website for state-specific info.

Here's what I've learned after 6 months of dealing with EDD: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling. 2. Use the comma trick when dialing to auto-input your selections. 3. Try different times of day - mid-morning on Wednesdays seems to work best. 4. Have all your info ready before you call. 5. Be polite to the rep - they're overwhelmed too. 6. If one rep can't help, politely ask to speak to a tier 2 specialist. 7. Document EVERYTHING. Get names and ID numbers. 8. Check your spam folder regularly for EDD emails. 9. Use the AskEDD feature on the website for simple questions. 10. If all else fails, contact your state representative. Hope this helps someone. We're all in this together!

What's the comma trick? Never heard of that before.

Oh, it's where you add commas in the phone number to auto-select menu options. Like 18003005616,1,,,,,,,,,,,,,1,2,,,,,,,,,,,,1. Saves time!

Anyone else feel like they're trapped in a kafka-esque nightmare? I swear, dealing with EDD is like being in a bizzaro world where nothing makes sense and time has no meaning.

LOL accurate AF 🤣 It's like that movie Groundhog Day, but instead of reliving a nice day, we're all stuck in EDD hell

Pro tip: call right when they open. I always get through within 15 minutes if I call at 8:01 AM sharp.

This! Early bird gets the... unemployment agent? 🐦

Have you tried checking your claim status online? Sometimes it updates there before they actually tell you anything on the phone.

Quick question: does anyone know if reapplying affects your weekly benefit amount? I'm worried it might go down if I reapply.

0 coins

It can change based on your recent work history. If you earned less in the past year, it might go down. But it could also go up if you earned more!

0 coins

Ah, that makes sense. Fingers crossed it doesn't decrease then. Thanks for the info!

PSA: Be super careful when reapplying! I made a tiny mistake on my form and it delayed my benefits for weeks. Triple check everything before you submit!

This might sound weird, but try reaching out to them on Twitter. I've seen some people get responses that way.

For real? That's wild. What's their handle?

@CA_EDD I think. Worth a shot! 🤷‍♂️

Make sure you're answering all the certification questions correctly. One wrong answer can delay everything.
