Wrong middle initial on PFL claim - how to fix?

Hey everyone, I messed up and put the wrong middle initial on my paid family leave claim. Has anyone had to deal with this before? What's the best way to get it fixed? I'm worried it might delay my claim or cause other issues. Any advice would be really appreciated!

I found a way to solve wrong middle initial on PFL, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBI-3lrz8Cs

Ugh, bureaucracy at its finest. I had a similar issue with my unemployment claim last year. Here's what I did: 1. Call the PFL office ASAP. The earlier you catch it, the easier it is to fix. 2. Have your claim number ready when you call. 3. Explain the situation calmly and clearly. 4. Ask them to notate your file with the correct information. 5. Request a confirmation email or letter of the change. 6. Follow up in a week if you don't hear anything. Good luck! The system is a mess, but persistence pays off.

This is solid advice. I'd add: document EVERYTHING. Write down who you talked to, when, and what they said. It'll save you headaches later if theres any confusion.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work? $20 seems steep...

I was skeptical too, but I was desperate after trying for weeks. It actually worked for me. Got through in about 2 hours instead of days of redialing.

Is this even legal? Seems like it might be against some terms of service or something.

As far as I know, it's legit. They're just automating the hold process. But yeah, do your own research if you're worried.

I've been dealing with PFL for months now and let me tell you, it's a nightmare. Even small errors can cause huge delays. My advice? Keep calling until you get someone helpful. Some agents are great, others... not so much. Don't give up!

This. So much this. It's like playing the lottery with these phone calls sometimes.

Have you tried updating it online? Sometimes you can make minor corrections through the portal without having to call. Might be worth checking before you spend hours on hold.

I looked but couldn't find an option for this. Maybe I missed it? I'll double check, thanks for the suggestion!

Np! If you can't find it, def call. Better to fix it now than have issues later.

Hey, don't stress too much. These things happen. I once put the wrong YEAR on a form (don't ask how 😅). Just be polite but persistent when you call, and you'll get it sorted out. Sending good vibes your way!

Thanks for the encouragement! It helps to know I'm not the only one who's made a silly mistake like this.
