PDL Approval Limbo: No Updates, When to Expect First Payment?
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I applied for PDL (Pandemic Disaster Loan) a while back and I haven't heard anything back yet. I'm starting to get worried because I really need that first payment to come through. Has anyone else been waiting for their PDL approval? Any idea how long it usually takes before you hear back or get your first payment? I've been checking my account online but there's no updates. Starting to feel like I'm in limbo here.

Ugh, I feel ya. I've been waiting for what feels like forever too. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain to get through, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

I've tried calling but keep getting stuck on hold forever. It's so frustrating! How long did you have to wait on the phone?

Honestly, it took me like 3 hours of being on hold. I just put it on speaker and did other stuff. It sucks, but sometimes you gotta play the waiting game š

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through in like 20 minutes that way!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone without waiting forever. I used this site called claimyr.com - it's a calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, and then sends the call to your phone when a live agent picks up. It costs $20, but it worked for me. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

Yeah, I was skeptical at first too, but I gave it a shot out of desperation. It actually worked! Saved me hours of frustration.

How exactly does it work? Do you have to give them your phone number?

You just go to their website, choose the department you need to call, pay the fee, and then they start calling for you. When they get a real person, they connect the call to your phone. You do have to give your number, but only so they can forward the call to you.

Listen up, folks. I've been through this rodeo before, and here's what you need to know about PDL approvals and payments: ā¢ First off, patience is key. The process can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks, sometimes even longer. ā¢ Make sure all your docs are in order. Any missing info can delay the whole thing. ā¢ Check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes important emails end up there. ā¢ If you haven't heard anything after 3 weeks, it's time to start calling. ā¢ Be persistent but polite when you do get through to someone. ā¢ Keep a log of who you talked to and what they said. ā¢ Sometimes, the online portal doesn't update right away. Don't panic if it seems like nothing's happening. Hang in there, y'all. It's a frustrating process, but stay on top of it and you'll get there. šŖ

Wow, thank you so much for this detailed info! It's really helpful to have it all laid out like that. I'll definitely start checking my spam folder more often.

It's not a joke, it's just overwhelmed. Millions of people are applying at once. Cut them some slack.

Has anyone actually received their first payment yet? I'm curious about the timeline once you're approved.

I heard a rumor that they're prioritizing certain industries for faster approval. Anyone know if there's any truth to that?

That sounds like fake news to me. Where did you hear that?

Pro tip: if you're really desperate, reach out to your local congressperson's office. They sometimes have ways to expedite these things.
