Never received PFL payment from 2024, EDD says it was sent back. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my paid family leave from last year. I never received it and when I called EDD, they said it was sent back to PFL. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on what to do next?

Ugh, that sucks. I had a similar issue last year. Have you tried contacting PFL directly? Sometimes theres a miscommunication between departments.

•Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give that a shot. Did you end up getting your payment eventually?

•Yeah, but it took like 3 months of back and forth. Stay persistent!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•I get the skepticism, but it's legit. They even have a money-back guarantee if it doesn't work.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Gather all your documentation (application, any correspondence, etc.) 2. Call PFL directly and ask for a status update 3. If they can't help, request a supervisor 4. Keep a log of all your calls (date, time, who you spoke to) 5. If you still don't get anywhere, contact your local state representative's office. They can often help push things through Don't give up! The squeaky wheel gets the grease in these situations.

•This is solid advice. I'd add: make sure to get confirmation numbers for every call. It helps when you need to reference previous conversations.

have you tried faxing your documents? sometimes the old school methods work better with these dinosaur agencies 🦕

Pro tip: call right when they open. You're more likely to get through and the agents are less burnt out.

•This! And avoid calling on Mondays or right after a holiday. Those are the busiest times.
