How to Cancel PFL Claim Online? EDD Website Options?
Hey everyone, I'm trying to figure out how to cancel my PFL claim online. Has anyone done this before? Is it even possible to do it through the website, or do I need to call them? Any advice would be really appreciated!

I don't think you can cancel it online. When I tried to do it last year, I had to call them directly. It was a pain in the butt to get through tho, be prepared to wait on hold for hours 😫

•Ugh, that sucks. The whole system is so outdated. You'd think they'd have an online option by now 🙄

•Yep, same experience here. Took me like 3 days of calling to finally get through. Good luck OP!

•Thanks for the heads up. Guess I'll have to set aside a whole day just to make this call 😩

I actually found a way to get someone on the phone without waiting for hours. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•I've heard of this! My friend used it for her unemployment claim. Said it was a game changer

Here's what you need to do to cancel your PFL claim: 1. Call the EDD PFL office at 1-877-238-4373 2. Have your claim ID ready 3. Explain to the rep that you want to cancel your claim 4. They might ask for a reason, so be prepared to explain 5. Make sure to get a confirmation number or email 6. Follow up in a few days to ensure it's been processed Unfortunately, there's no online option yet. The system is pretty archaic. Make sure you call during business hours (8am-5pm PT, Mon-Fri). And yeah, be ready for a long wait. Maybe have some Netflix queued up 😅

•Great advice! I'd add: take notes during the call, including the name of the rep you spoke with. It can be helpful if there are any issues later.

why do you need to cancel? if its cuz you went back to work early, you might not need to cancel the whole claim. you can just stop certifying

I swear, dealing with EDD is like trying to navigate a maze blindfolded while riding a unicycle. Anyone else feel like theyre living in a kafka novel when dealing with this stuff? 🤡
