EDD payment sent but not in bank account after a week - what to do?
Has anyone else had issues with their unemployment payment not showing up in their bank account? The agency says they sent it out days ago, but I still haven't seen anything. It's been almost a week now and I'm starting to get worried. Any advice on what to do or who to contact?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's so frustrating! Have you tried calling them? I've been trying for days but can't get through 😤

•Calling is useless, I swear they never pick up. I've wasted hours on hold 🙄

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins of waiting last week!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

•20 bucks? That's steep for something that should be free 😒

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho

•How long did you have to wait once it connected you?

•Only about 5 minutes! Way better than the hours I spent trying to get through on my own

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes the payment notification emails end up there. Also, double-check that your bank info is correct on your account.

This happened to me last month. Turns out there was a glitch in their system and a bunch of payments were delayed. It eventually showed up after about 10 days. Hang in there!

•10 days?! That's insane. I can't wait that long, I have bills due 😭

•I know, it sucks. Maybe try reaching out to your landlord or utility companies? Some are willing to work with you if you explain the situation.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check your payment info on your account 2. Look for any emails or messages about payment issues 3. Try calling first thing in the morning (like 7:59 am) 4. If you can't get through, use the contact form on their website 5. As a last resort, reach out to your local representative's office. They can sometimes help push things through If none of that works, you might have to just wait it out. The system is super backed up right now and delays are common. Good luck!

•This is great advice! I'd add: document EVERYTHING. Every call, email, letter. It'll help if you need to escalate things later.

Have you tried checking your claim status online? Sometimes there's more info there than what they tell you over the phone.
