EDD Paperwork Mistakes: How to Fix and Get Paid Faster?
Hey everyone, I messed up some paperwork and now I'm worried about my payment. Has anyone had experience fixing mistakes on their forms? Also, is there any way to speed up the payment process? I really need the money sooner than the usual two-week wait. Any advice would be appreciated!

Ugh, I feel you. I've been there before. The bureaucracy is a nightmare 🙄 Have you tried calling them? Sometimes talking to a real person can help sort things out faster.

•I've been trying to call for days but can't get through. It's so frustrating!

•Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have better luck getting through.

•Calling is useless these days. I spent hours on hold last week and got nowhere 😤

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

•Yeah, it actually does! I was skeptical at first too, but I was desperate. Got through in about an hour.

•$20 seems steep just to make a phone call. Is it worth it?

•For me it was. I had been trying for weeks to get through. The peace of mind was worth the cost.

As for speeding up the payment, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there's not much you can do. The system is designed to take that long. Your best bet is to make sure all your info is correct going forward.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes you can submit corrections there without having to call. Might be worth a shot!

This whole system is a joke. They make it so complicated on purpose, I swear. Good luck, OP. You're gonna need it 🙄

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Write down all the mistakes you made and the correct information. 2. Try to submit corrections online if possible. 3. If online doesn't work, you HAVE to call. Keep trying until you get through. 4. Be polite but firm with the rep. Explain your situation clearly. 5. Ask if there's any way to expedite the payment due to financial hardship. 6. If they can't help, ask to speak with a supervisor. 7. Keep a record of who you talked to and when. 8. Follow up regularly until it's resolved. Unfortunately, there's no guaranteed way to speed up the payment, but fixing the errors ASAP is crucial. Good luck!

•This is solid advice. I'd add: if you're really in a bind, reach out to local charities or churches. Some offer emergency assistance.

•LOL for real. Sometimes I think it'd be easier to decipher ancient hieroglyphs than these forms 😂
