EDD: How to get remaining weeks paid? Need advice for talking to agent
Hey everyone, I'm trying to get the rest of my weeks paid for unemployment. Has anyone gone through this process recently? I've submitted all my paperwork but I'm not sure what else I need to do. Any advice on what to say when I finally get through to an agent?

Ugh, I feel ya. The whole system is a mess rn. Make sure you've certified for all the weeks you're claiming. When you talk to an agent, ask them to go through your account with a fine-tooth comb. There might be some random flag or issue holding things up.

•This 👆 Seriously, half the time they don't even know whats wrong until they dig deep into your account.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds sketchy af. Is this legit?

•Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•How long did you have to wait for the callback?

•It took about 2 hours for me, but I've heard it can vary. Still way better than trying to call yourself all day!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Make sure all your certifications are up to date 2. Double-check that your identity verification is complete 3. Look for any pending issues on your account and gather relevant documentation 4. When you talk to an agent, be polite but firm. Ask them to review your entire claim history 5. If there are any holds, ask for specific reasons and what you can do to resolve them 6. Get the agent's name and ID number for your records 7. If they can't help, politely ask to speak with a tier 2 specialist 8. Keep detailed notes of every conversation Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up!

Ugh, I've been dealing with this for WEEKS. It's like they're purposely making it difficult. Anyone else feel like the system is designed to make us give up? 🤬

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes on hold last week!
