EDD Extension: 30+ Days, No Payment/Denial. What Now?
I applied for an extension over a month ago and still haven't heard anything back. No payment, no denial, just radio silence. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm starting to get really worried about my finances. Any advice on what to do next?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's been 6 weeks for me and nothing. The system is so broken 😤

•6 weeks? Amateur hour. Try 3 months with no response 🙃

Have you tried calling them? Sometimes you gotta be persistent and keep calling until you get through to a human.

•I've been trying but it's impossible to get through. I've spent hours on hold only to get disconnected 😭

•Pro tip: call right when they open. Better chance of getting through.

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/DOLxZQb92wM

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•$20? That's a scam, why should we have to pay to talk to EDD? 🙄

•I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo

•Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

•Yeah, so basically you put in your phone # and they call you when they get an agent. No guarantee, but they keep trying until they do. Worked for me on the 2nd attempt.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them, including dates and times. 2. Reach out to your local state representative or senator. They often have liaisons who can help push your case through. 3. Check your online account regularly for any updates or messages you might have missed. 4. If you haven't already, file an appeal. Even if you haven't received an official denial, sometimes this can trigger a response. 5. Join Facebook groups or other online communities dedicated to unemployment issues in your state. Sometimes you can get insider tips or at least moral support. 6. As a last resort, consider contacting local media. Sometimes public pressure can get results. Remember, persistence is key. Don't give up! The system is overwhelmed, but you have rights and you deserve answers. Good luck! 💪

This happened to me last year. Turns out they needed additional verification and the letter got lost in the mail. Definitely try calling if you can!

•Oh no, I hope that's not what happened to me. Did you eventually get it sorted out?

•Yeah, but it took forever. Had to send in a bunch of documents. Make sure you have all your paperwork ready just in case!

•Protest won't do anything. We need to vote for better leadership next election.
