UI Payments Stopped After Overpayment Issue - Need Help!

Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my unemployment payments. I called to follow up on an overpayment, but now I'm not receiving my regular payments either. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to get this sorted out?

I found a way to solve unemployment payment issues fast, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCrcleNUSqQ

Ugh, I feel your pain. The unemployment system is such a mess rn. Have you tried calling them? It took me like 50 attempts to get through last time 🙄

Yeah, I've been trying to call but no luck. It's so frustrating!

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through on my third try doing that.

Calling when they open doesn't always work. I tried that for a week straight and still couldn't get through. Its like playing the lottery 🎰

I had a similar issue last year. Here's what worked for me: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. 2. Send a written appeal if you haven't already. Sometimes this gets faster results than calling. 3. Contact your local state representative. They can sometimes intervene on your behalf. 4. Check your online account regularly for any updates or messages. 5. If possible, try to make an in-person appointment at a local office. Hang in there, it's a frustrating process but persistence usually pays off.

Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try contacting my state rep, hadn't thought of that.

This is solid advice. I'd add: make sure you respond to ANY communication from them ASAP. Even a day's delay can set you back weeks.

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes important emails from UI end up there. Also, double-check that all your info in the system is up to date.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

20 bucks? That's steep. But I guess if it works... 🤔

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

I tried it too. Can confirm it works. Got through in like 30 mins when I'd been trying for days on my own.

This whole system is broken af. We shouldn't have to jump through hoops just to get what we're entitled to. 😤

Fr fr. It's like they're trying to make it as difficult as possible.

Quick question - when you say overpayment, was this something they notified you about or did you realize it yourself? Cuz I think I might be in the same boat and idk what to do 😰

They sent me a notice about it. If you think you've been overpaid, it's probably best to contact them asap before it becomes a bigger issue.
