EDD Payment Delays: Haven't Received Unemployment in Weeks - What to Do?
Hey everyone, I'm having a major issue with my unemployment payments. I haven't received anything in a while and I'm starting to get really worried. Has anyone else experienced delays with their payments recently? I tried calling but can't get through to anyone. Any advice on what I should do next?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Haven't seen a payment in weeks. The system is so broken rn 😤

Weeks? Try months 🙄 I've been waiting since March!

Have you tried checking your claim status online? Sometimes there's info there that can help explain whats going on.

Yeah, I've checked but it just says 'pending' with no other details. So frustrating!

Ugh, that sucks. Might be worth trying to get through on the phone then. Good luck!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I get the skepticism, but it seriously worked for me. Was able to talk to someone and get my issue resolved. Worth every penny imo

How long did you have to wait before they called you back?

It took about an hour and a half, but beats spending all day trying to get through!

Here's what I've learned from dealing with EDD for months: 1. Keep certifying every two weeks, even if you're not getting paid. 2. Check your inbox for any messages or requests for additional info. 3. If you can, try calling right when they open or just before they close. 4. Consider contacting your local assembly member's office for help. 5. Document everything - dates you certified, called, any responses you get. 6. If you're really desperate, that claimyr service someone mentioned might be worth a shot. Hang in there, everyone. This system is a nightmare, but don't give up!

Pro tip: if you're having trouble getting paid, make sure you're answering the certification questions correctly. One wrong answer can hold up your whole claim!

Learned this the hard way. That question about looking for work tripped me up 😅

Hey OP, have you checked if there's an issue with your identity verification? That held up my payments for weeks until I figured it out.

Oh man, I didn't even think of that. How do I check?

Log into your account and look for any messages about identity verification or [id.me](http://id.me). If you see anything like that, you'll need to complete the verification process.
