Stuck in EDD ID verification loop - need human help!
Anyone else having trouble with identity verification for disability claims? I've been trying to file my claim but keep getting stuck at the ID verification step. The automated system keeps saying "sorry I didn't get that" or "we were unable to verify your identity." It's driving me crazy! Any tips on how to get past this and actually talk to a human?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I was stuck in that loop for days. Have you tried calling first thing in the morning? Sometimes the system is less glitchy then.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Here's what worked for me: 1. Double-check all your info is correct (SSN, DOB, address, etc.) 2. Use a landline if possible - cell signals can mess with the system 3. Speak slowly and clearly when prompted 4. If it fails, immediately try again - sometimes it's just a glitch 5. As a last resort, request a paper form to be mailed to you Hope this helps! Have you tried using the online portal instead of calling? Sometimes its easier to verify your identity through their website.

Protip: if u get a human on the line DO NOT hang up no matter what. I once waited 3 hrs but it was worth it to finally get my claim sorted
