SDI payment delayed after 3 weeks - no updates, account shows amount but no money received. What to do?

I applied for state disability benefits 3 weeks ago and completed everything online. My account shows how much I should be getting, but I haven't received any payments or updates. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I do? I'm getting worried because bills are piling up and I need this money.

I found a way to solve disability payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zaBbGo0IE8

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's been over a month for me and still nothing. The system is so broken 😤

A month?! That's ridiculous. Have you tried calling them?

0 coins

Yeah, but I can never get through. It's like they don't want us to actually talk to anyone 🙄

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through after only 30 mins on hold that way

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration

Why should we have to pay to talk to someone about our benefits? The system is so messed up 😡

I get it, but for me, the $20 was worth not spending days trying to get through. Just sharing what worked for me 🤷‍♂️

Here's what you need to do: 1. Double-check that you've submitted all required documents. Sometimes they need additional info but don't tell you. 2. Try calling first thing in the morning, right when they open. Be prepared to wait on hold. 3. If you can't get through, send a message through your online account. Be specific about your issue. 4. If it's been more than 3 weeks, contact your local state representative. They can sometimes expedite claims. 5. Keep a record of all your attempts to contact them. Don't give up! The system is overwhelmed, but persistence usually pays off.

Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try calling first thing tomorrow morning.

This is great info. Wish I had known this when I was waiting for my claim!

3 weeks? You sweet summer child. I've been waiting for 2 months now. The whole system is a joke 🤡

2 months?! That's insane. How are you managing?

Barely. Living off credit cards and help from family. It's a nightmare 😓

FYI, there was a glitch in the system last month that delayed a bunch of payments. They said they fixed it, but who knows 🤷‍♀️ Might be worth mentioning when you call

I'm going through the exact same thing right now! Filed 3 weeks ago and my account shows the benefit amount but no payments yet. It's so stressful when you're counting on this money. I've been trying to call but can't get through - the phone system just hangs up on me after being on hold forever. Has anyone had luck with the online messaging system? I'm wondering if that might be faster than trying to call.
