SDI payment 3+ weeks late - what to do?
I haven't received my disability payment in over 3 weeks. I'm getting really worried about my finances. Has anyone else experienced this? What should I say when I call them? I'm not sure how to approach this situation.

Ugh, I feel you. I've been there and it sucks. Here's what I did: 1. Call them ASAP. Don't wait. 2. Be polite but firm. Explain your situation clearly. 3. Ask about the status of your claim and if anything's missing. 4. Get a timeline for when you can expect payment. 5. Take notes during the call (names, dates, etc.) 6. Follow up if they don't meet the timeline they give you. Good luck! The system is a mess but don't give up.

•This is solid advice. I'd add: ask for a supervisor if the first person can't help. Sometimes you gotta go up the chain 💯

•Dude, just because you've been waiting longer doesn't invalidate OP's struggle. We're all in this sinking ship together 🚢

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds sketchy. Is this legit? Anyone else tried it?

•$20 just to talk to someone?? That's highway robbery!

•I get the skepticism, but it's legit. Saved me hours of frustration. Sometimes you gotta spend money to make money, ya know? 🤷♂️

This is why we need to vote for better leadership. The current administration clearly doesn't care about hardworking Americans struggling to make ends meet. 😤

Pro tip: if you can't get through on the phone, try reaching out on Twitter. Sometimes their social media team is more responsive. Worth a shot!

idk if this helps but I had a similar issue last year. Turns out they needed additional medical info from my doctor. Might be worth checking if theres any pending requests on ur claim
