SDI fax number not working - can't send delayed expense comp benefits letter. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having a nightmare with SDI. I need to check my status and send them this letter about delayed expense comp benefits. I've tried faxing it like a million times but no luck. Anyone else having trouble with their fax number? It's driving me crazy!

Ugh, I feel your pain! 🤦♀️ SDI's fax system is like something from the stone age. Have you tried calling them directly? Sometimes that works better than faxing.

•Yeah, I've called them multiple times. The reps keep giving me different fax numbers, but none of them work. It's like a wild goose chase!

I had a similar issue last month. Here's what worked for me: 1. Call the main SDI number 2. Ask for a supervisor (be polite but firm) 3. Explain your situation and ask for an email address to send your documents 4. Follow up with an email AND a fax (if possible) 5. Keep a record of all communications It took a few days, but I finally got through. Good luck!

•This is solid advice. I'd add: make sure to get the name and ID number of everyone you talk to. It helps if you need to escalate later.

Have you tried using an online fax service? Sometimes those work better than traditional fax machines. Might be worth a shot!

SDI is the worst. I've been waiting on my benefits for 3 months now. The whole system needs an overhaul.

•Preach! 🙌 It's like they're stuck in 1995 or something

•3 months? Amateur hour. Try 6 months and counting 😭

Hey, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Does it really work?

•Yeah, it actually does! Saved me hours of hold time. Worth every penny imo

•Idk man, paying to talk to a government agency feels wrong

•I get that, but when you factor in lost work time and stress, $20 seemed like a bargain to me

Have you tried sending it through certified mail? At least that way you have proof they received it.

•That's a good idea! I'll give that a try if the fax doesn't work out. Thanks!

Pro tip: If you can, go to their office in person. Sometimes face-to-face interaction can solve problems that seem impossible over the phone or fax.

•This! I did this last year and it was a game changer. Bring all your docs with you tho

Have you tried reaching out to your local state representative? Sometimes they can help cut through the red tape.
