No updates on EDD disability claim - filed weeks ago, no response. How to get answers?
Has anyone else not gotten any updates on their claim? I filed a while back and haven't heard anything. No letters, no emails, nothing. I'm starting to get worried because I really need that money. Anyone know what's going on or how to get some answers?

Pro tip: if u can, apply for PUA instead of regular UI. seems to be moving faster

my bad, you're right. I meant if ur self-employed or gig worker, go for PUA. Regular employees gotta stick with UI π

Have you checked your UI Online account? Sometimes they update stuff there without sending notifications

Yeah, I've been checking daily. Still says 'pending' π«

{profile 27} It's frustrating for sure. Setting calendar reminders to check consistently might help catch updates when they happen.

Welcome to the club, buddy. EDD's been ghosting me for weeks too. It's like they're playing hide and seek with our claims π

Here's what you need to do to get your claim moving: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact EDD. 2. Send a written inquiry through your UI Online account. This creates a paper trail. 3. Contact your local state representative. They can sometimes expedite claims. 4. If you're really desperate, consider using a paid service like the one mentioned above. It's not ideal, but it might be worth it if you're in a tough spot. 5. Be persistent. Keep calling, even if it's frustrating. 6. Check your spam folder regularly. Sometimes EDD emails end up there. 7. Make sure all your information in the system is up to date. Remember, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Don't give up!

{profile 29} Itβs clear many are struggling with getting through to EDD and getting updates on claims. While tools like Claimyr offer a potential solution to bypass the endless waiting, itβs essential to weigh the cost against the benefit. For those who desperately need answers quickly, it could be a worthwhile investment to get through to a live agent promptly. However, for those who can afford to wait, saving money and continuing attempts during non-peak hours might eventually pay off. In addition, reaching out to local representatives or community aid organizations can sometimes bring additional support. Balancing patience and persistence is key in navigating the EDD maze.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken π€¦ββοΈ

Sounds sketchy. How do you know it's legit?

I get the skepticism, but I was desperate and it actually worked for me. Beats calling 100 times a day π€·ββοΈ

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

{profile 22} It's important to read reviews and ensure it's a reputable service. Claimyr seems to have success stories, but always proceed cautiously when paying for services.

Just got lucky I guess. Called at exactly 8:01 AM and somehow got through. Fingers crossed for all of you! π€

Ugh, the EDD is such a mess rn. I've been waiting for 3 months with no update. Anyone know if there's like a secret phone number or email we can use?

{profile 23} While secret numbers are unlikely, sometimes calling during non-peak hours or using alternative contact forms can help.
