EDD Claim Filed Weeks Ago, No Updates or Payments. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm having issues with my existing claim. I filed a while back and still haven't received any updates or payments. It's been weeks and I'm getting really frustrated. Has anyone else experienced this? Any advice on how to get through to someone or speed up the process? I'm starting to worry about bills piling up.

Ugh, I feel your pain. I was in the same boat a few months ago. It's like they just forget about us after we file. Have you tried calling their helpline? It's a nightmare, but sometimes you can get lucky.

Calling is useless. I spent 3 hours on hold last week and got disconnected. This system is so broken 🤬

Pro tip: call right when they open. I got through in 20 mins doing that!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's the link: https://claimyr.com

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I get the skepticism, but it seriously saved me weeks of frustration. Worth every penny IMO.

Can you give more details about how it works? Do they guarantee you'll get through?

Sure! You pick the department you need, pay, and they start calling. When an agent picks up, your phone rings. No guarantee, but it worked for me first try.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they update info there without sending notifications. Also, make sure you've completed all the required certifications.

This is why we need to vote for better leadership. The whole system is a joke. I've been waiting 3 months for my claim to be processed. It's ridiculous!

Preach! 👏 We need major reforms. This isn't just incompetence, it's negligence.

Lets not make this political. The staff are probably overwhelmed. We're all frustrated but blaming won't help.

Here's what worked for me after 2 months of radio silence: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your attempts to contact them. 2. Reach out to your local state representative. They often have liaisons who can escalate claims. 3. Be persistent but polite when you do get through. The person on the phone isn't personally responsible for the delay. 4. Check if there are any local legal aid organizations that can help. Some offer free assistance with claim issues. 5. Make sure you're responding to any requests for additional info ASAP. Sometimes they send these by mail, so check your mailbox regularly. Hang in there, OP. It's a frustrating process, but keep at it!

Anyone else notice that their system always seems to be "down for maintenance" when you try to log in? It's like they're actively trying to make this difficult.

Hey OP, what state are you in? The process can vary a lot depending on location. Might help to know for more specific advice.

Oof, Cali is notorious for delays. Definitely try that Claimyr thing someone mentioned above. I've heard good things.
