EDD Payment Delay: How Long After Submitting Paperwork for Continued Claim?
Hey everyone, I'm getting really frustrated with my continued claim. I submitted all the paperwork they asked for, but I still haven't received my payment. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for them to process everything and send out the money? I'm starting to worry about bills piling up.

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been waiting for weeks now and still nothing. It's like they're purposely making it difficult for us to get our money. 🤬

Weeks? Consider yourself lucky. I've been waiting for over 2 months now. This system is completely broken.

Have you tried calling them? Sometimes that can speed things up.

Call them? LOL good luck getting through. I've tried like 50 times and always get a busy signal.

In my experience, it can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks for them to process paperwork and issue payments. But with how backed up they are lately, who knows? 🤷♂️

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Are you sure it's legit?

20 bucks? That's kinda steep just to make a phone call...

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imho.

How long did you have to wait once they connected you?

Only about 5 minutes! Way better than the hours I spent trying to get through on my own.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with this mess for months: 1. Be persistent. Keep calling and submitting your paperwork. 2. Double-check everything before you send it in. One tiny mistake can delay your claim for weeks. 3. If possible, upload documents online instead of mailing them. 4. Keep a record of all your communications with them. 5. If you're really desperate, try contacting your local representative. Sometimes they can help push things through. Hang in there, OP. I know it's tough, but you'll get your money eventually. 💪

Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try uploading my documents online. Fingers crossed that speeds things up.

Contacting your rep is a great tip. My cousin did that and got her issue resolved in like 2 days!

Preach! 🙌 It's like they're trying to discourage us from claiming what we're owed.

Totally agree. We're already stressed about being unemployed, and then they make us deal with this bureaucratic nightmare. It's inhumane.

Has anyone else noticed that the website is always "under maintenance" when you try to check your claim status? It's driving me crazy! 😤

OMG yes! I swear they do it on purpose during peak hours just to mess with us.

Pro tip: If you're having trouble getting through on the phone, try calling right when they open in the morning. I usually have better luck then.

Anyone else feel like they're playing a twisted game of unemployment roulette? Some weeks I get paid no problem, other weeks it's radio silence. There's no rhyme or reason to it!
