SDI Payment Delay: Weeks Without Pay, Need Advice

I haven't received my payment yet and I'm getting worried. It's been a few weeks since I filed my claim and I still haven't seen any money. Has anyone else experienced delays with their payments? I'm starting to stress out because bills are piling up and I don't know what to do. Any advice on how to get in touch with someone or speed up the process would be really appreciated.

I found a way to solve unemployment payment delays, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5W45m2nKLpA

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. It's been over a month for me and still nothing. The system is so broken, it's ridiculous. Have you tried calling? I've been trying for days but can't get through.

Calling is a nightmare. I spent 3 hours on hold yesterday only to get disconnected. 🤬 This whole situation is beyond frustrating.

Pro tip: try calling right when they open. I got through after only 30 minutes of hold time that way.

Thanks for the tip! I'll give that a shot tomorrow morning. Fingers crossed 🤞

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken we have to pay just to get help? 🤦‍♂️

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. After weeks of trying, I was desperate. It's not ideal, but it got me the help I needed.

Can you share more details about how it works? Is it legit?

Sure! You go to the website, choose the department you need to call, pay the fee, and then they start calling for you. When they get a real person, your phone rings and you're connected. Saved me hours of frustration.

Have you checked your claim status online? Sometimes there's info there about why payments are delayed. Could be missing info or identity verification issues.

I had the same problem last month. Turns out they needed additional documentation from me but never notified me. Check your spam folder for any emails from them!

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely check my spam folder. It's crazy they don't have a better way to communicate these things.

The whole system is a joke. I've been waiting 6 weeks now. Can't get through on the phone, no response to emails. I'm about to lose my apartment because of this. Anyone know if there's a way to escalate our cases?

Have you tried reaching out to your local state representative? Sometimes they can help push things through.

I hadn't thought of that. Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give it a try!

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for months: 1. Be persistent. Call every day if you have to. 2. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and online submissions. 3. Check your claim status online regularly. 4. Make sure all your info is up to date in the system. 5. If you can't get through on the main line, try calling the technical support line and ask to be transferred. 6. Reach out to your local state rep or senator's office for help. 7. Join Facebook groups or other online communities for support and tips. 8. If all else fails, consider using a paid service like the one mentioned above to get through. Hang in there, everyone. I know it's tough, but keep pushing!

Great advice. I'd add: don't forget to certify for benefits every two weeks, even if you haven't received payment yet.

PSA: If you're really struggling, don't forget to look into local food banks and rental assistance programs. They can be a lifeline while you're waiting for benefits to come through.
