Here's what you need to do: 1. Keep checking your online account daily 2. Make sure you file your weekly claim every week, even if you haven't heard back about your initial claim 3. Double-check that you entered all your information correctly 4. If you don't hear anything after 2 weeks, try calling them (good luck with that tho) 5. Consider reaching out to your local delegate or senator if it goes on too long Hang in there, the system is overwhelmed but they'll get to you eventually!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/GK1CFuX4p2k

Pro tip: if you're having trouble online, try filing by phone. Sometimes the systems don't sync up and phone claims can go through faster. Worked for me!

Anybody else notice that the VEC website is always "under maintenance" when you actually need to use it? 🙄 It's like they're trying to make this as difficult as possible.

Has anyone tried contacting their state representative about this? I've heard some people have had success getting their claims pushed through that way.

yall ever think about how much money the state is saving by making this process so difficult? bet theres tons of people who just give up 🤔

LPT: Set up direct deposit as soon as you can. Once your claim is approved, it's way faster than waiting for a debit card in the mail.
