Money Network card declined, no payments since 16th - What to do?
Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my Money Network card. It's been declined and I haven't received any payments since the 16th. I called them and they said my card was compromised. Now I need a new card and some information. Has anyone dealt with this before? What should I do next? What kind of info do they usually ask for when getting a new card?

Ugh, that sucks! I had a similar issue last year. Here's what you need to do: 1. Call Money Network ASAP and report the card as compromised if you haven't already. 2. They'll cancel your old card and send you a new one. It usually takes 7-10 business days. 3. Make sure your address is up to date in their system. 4. They might ask for your SSN, DOB, and maybe a photo ID for verification. 5. Ask them about the missing payments - they should be able to see them on their end. 6. Once you get the new card, you'll need to activate it and set up a new PIN. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

•Thank you so much for the detailed response! This is really helpful. Do you know if they can expedite the new card? I'm kinda in a tight spot right now 😓

•You're welcome! Yeah, they can usually expedite it for a fee. I think it's like $15 or $20, but it'll get to you in 2-3 business days instead. Might be worth it if you're in a bind.

•For real tho! 💯 I've had nothing but problems with them. Wish we could just get direct deposit to our own bank accounts.

•Preach! 🙌 Their customer service is a joke too. Last time I called, I was on hold for like 2 hours.

I found a way to get through to someone on the phone quickly. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining how it works: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Wow, that sounds interesting. How long did you have to wait before they connected you?

•It took about 45 minutes, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music. They just called me when an agent was ready.

•Idk man, sounds kinda sketchy. You sure it's legit?

•Yeah, it's totally legit. I was skeptical at first too, but it worked great for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they post messages there about card issues or payment delays.

pro tip: once you get your new card, set up text alerts for all transactions. helps you catch any funny business right away

•This! 👆 Also, don't use the card at sketchy ATMs or gas pumps. Those are prime spots for skimmers.

I went through this exact same situation about 6 months ago. The waiting is the worst part, but here's what helped me get through it faster: 1. When you call Money Network, ask to speak to the fraud department directly - they can usually give you more detailed info about what happened 2. Request they email you a confirmation of the new card request with tracking info 3. If you have any pending payments, ask them to confirm those will automatically go to the new card once it's active 4. Keep calling every few days for updates - sometimes cards get delayed and you won't know unless you ask Also, if you're really strapped for cash, some people have had luck asking EDD to issue a paper check while waiting for the new card, though that can take even longer. Hang in there - it sucks but you'll get through this! 💪

•This is super helpful advice! I didn't know you could ask for email confirmation with tracking info - that alone would save so much anxiety about when the card will arrive. The tip about calling the fraud department directly is gold too. Thanks for sharing your experience! 🙏
