Filed workers comp in Nov, still no benefits or updates. What can I do?
I filed a workers comp claim back in November and submitted all the required paperwork in January. It's been months now and I still haven't received any benefits or even a notice about what might be missing or needed. Has anyone else experienced such long delays? Any advice on how to speed up the process or at least get some information about the status of my claim?

Ugh, I feel your pain. I've been dealing with the same issue for what feels like forever. It's like they're purposely trying to make it as difficult as possible for us to get the benefits we deserve. Have you tried calling them? I know it's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get any answers.

•I've tried calling so many times, but I always get stuck on hold for hours. It's so frustrating! 😤

•Pro tip: call right when they open. You might have better luck getting through to someone.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•I get the skepticism, but honestly, it was worth every penny for me. Saved me hours of frustration and I finally got my issue resolved.

•How long did it take for them to call you back?

•It took about 2 hours, but I just went about my day and they called when an agent was ready. Way better than being stuck on hold!

Here's what you need to do: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and paperwork submissions. 2. Contact your state's workers' comp board. They can often help push things along. 3. Consider getting a workers' comp attorney. Many offer free consultations. 4. Reach out to your local state representative or senator. Sometimes they can intervene on your behalf. 5. If you have a union, contact your union rep for assistance. 6. File a formal complaint with the insurance company and cc the state workers' comp board. 7. Don't give up! The system is designed to wear you down, but persistence pays off. Remember, you have rights. Don't let them jerk you around. Good luck!

The whole system is broken af. I've been waiting 6 months for my claim to be processed. It's a joke. 🤡

•Barely. Living off savings and help from family. It's rough out here.

Have you tried reaching out to your employer? Sometimes they can help expedite the process or at least give you more info about whats going on with your claim.

•😂😂😂 Sad but true. It's like playing a game where the rules keep changing and no one tells you.

Hate to say it, but you might want to lawyer up. I was in the same boat and didn't see any progress until I got an attorney involved. Most won't charge you unless they win your case.

•I've been considering that. Did it take long to resolve once you got a lawyer?

•It still took a couple months, but things actually started moving. Plus, my lawyer handled all the annoying paperwork and calls. Def worth it imo.

Anyone else notice how they seem to "lose" paperwork conveniently? 🤔 Always keep copies of EVERYTHING you send them. Trust me on this one.

•Ah gotcha. CA can be tough. Def look into contacting the Division of Workers' Compensation. They have resources that might help: https://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/
