SDI claim filed weeks ago, no response. Anyone else experiencing delays?
I filed a disability claim a while back and haven't received anything yet. It's been weeks and I'm getting worried. Has anyone else experienced long delays with their disability claims? Any advice on how to speed up the process or at least get some information on the status of my claim?

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Filed my claim over a month ago and still radio silence. The waiting game is killing me 😫

A month? That's nothing. I've been waiting for 3 months now. The system is completely broken 🤬

Have you tried calling them? Sometimes that can help speed things up.

Here's what I've learned from my experience with disability claims: 1. Document everything. Keep copies of all your paperwork and medical records. 2. Follow up regularly. Try calling at least once a week. 3. Be persistent. Sometimes you have to be a squeaky wheel to get attention. 4. Check your online account for updates if you have one. 5. Consider reaching out to your local representative's office. They can sometimes help expedite things. 6. Make sure you've submitted all required forms. Sometimes delays happen because of missing information. Hang in there, OP. The process can be slow, but don't give up!

Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try reaching out to my local rep's office. Didn't even think of that.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

$20? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone...

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

The disability system is a joke. I've been fighting with them for months. Good luck, OP. You're gonna need it. 🤡

Anyone else notice that claims filed after covid seem to take way longer? Or is it just me?

Definitely not just you. I think they're swamped with claims now.

Pro tip: if you can, submit everything online. It usually processes faster than paper forms.
