EDD debit card security code showing as incomplete on website. Anyone else having this issue?

Hey everyone, I'm having trouble with my EDD debit card. I'm trying to use it to certify my claim, but the website keeps saying the security code is incomplete. This is weird because I use this card all the time without any issues. Has anyone else run into this problem? Any ideas on how to fix it?

Ugh, EDD's website is such a nightmare! I swear it's designed to make us pull our hair out. Have you tried using a different browser? Sometimes that works for me when the site is being glitchy.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll give that a shot. It's so frustrating when you're just trying to get your benefits and the system keeps throwing up roadblocks 😤

Glad I could help! And yeah, @profile 2, calling is usually the nuclear option. Takes forever but sometimes it's the only way 🤷‍♂️

I had the exact same issue last month! It turned out to be a temporary glitch in their system. I waited about an hour, tried again, and it worked fine. Maybe give it some time and try again later?

Have you checked if your card is expired? I know it sounds obvious, but I once spent hours trying to figure out why my card wasn't working, only to realize it had expired the week before. 🤦‍♂️

Good thinking, but nope, my card is still valid for another year. This whole situation is just bizarre!

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit? Has anyone else tried it?

$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous! The system is so broken 😡

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it's legit. I was desperate after trying for weeks to get through. It's not ideal to pay, but it saved me so much time and stress.

Here's what I've learned from dealing with EDD for the past year: 1. Their website is notoriously buggy. Always try multiple browsers and devices. 2. Clear your cache and cookies before attempting anything important. 3. If possible, use a desktop computer instead of a mobile device. 4. Sometimes the site works better during off-peak hours (like early morning or late night). 5. If all else fails, calling is usually the most effective (though time-consuming) solution. 6. Keep detailed records of all your attempts to contact them or use the website. 7. If you're really stuck, reaching out to your local assembly member can sometimes help expedite things. Hope this helps! Hang in there, we're all in the same boat with this frustrating system.

This is gold! 💯 Should be pinned at the top of the subreddit tbh

Great advice! I'd add: take screenshots of any errors you encounter. It can be helpful if you need to prove you've been trying to certify.

have u tried turning it off and on again? 🤣 jk jk... but seriously, sometimes logging out completely and logging back in after a few minutes can reset things on their end.

This might sound weird, but are you using any VPN or ad blockers? I had issues with EDD's site when I had those on. Turned 'em off and suddenly everything worked fine. 🤷‍♀️

Huh, I do use a VPN actually. I'll try disabling it and see if that helps. Thanks for the tip!
