EDD Missing Replacement Check - Need Advice ASAP

Has anyone else had issues with a missing replacement check from EDD? I've been waiting for weeks and still nothing. Getting really frustrated with the whole process. Any advice on how to follow up or what to do next?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I went through the same thing last month. Have you tried calling them? It's a nightmare to get through, but it's the only way I finally got some answers.

I've been trying to call for days but can never get through. It's so frustrating! How long did it take you to finally reach someone?

It took me like a week of constant calling. I basically made it my full-time job πŸ™„ Keep trying tho, you'll get through eventually!

Pro tip: try calling right when they open. I got through on my second try doing that. Good luck!

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone! I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration.

I'm skeptical. How do we know this isn't just some scam?

Not a scam, just a service. They don't ask for any personal info beyond your phone number to forward the call. Totally get the skepticism tho!

Have you checked your online account? Sometimes they post updates there about check status. Might save you some time on hold.

This whole system is so broken. I've been dealing with EDD issues for months now. It's like they want us to give up 😀

Preach! πŸ™Œ The bureaucracy is insane. We need some serious reform.

Here's what worked for me when I had a missing check: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and online account updates. 2. Try calling first thing in the morning, right when they open. 3. If you can't get through on the phone, send a message through your online account. 4. Reach out to your local state representative's office. They often have contacts at EDD and can help push things along. 5. Be persistent but polite. The people answering phones are just doing their jobs. 6. If all else fails, file a formal complaint with EDD. Hope this helps! Hang in there, it's a frustrating process but you'll get it sorted eventually.

Thank you so much for this detailed advice! I'll definitely try reaching out to my state rep, hadn't thought of that.

Have you tried faxing them? I know it sounds ancient, but I actually got a response that way when nothing else worked.
