EDD Continued Eligibility Questionnaire submitted weeks ago, no response, benefits stopped. Help!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I sent in my Continued Eligibility Questionnaire a few weeks back and haven't heard a peep. Now my benefits have suddenly stopped. Anyone else dealing with this? Any advice on what I should do next? I'm getting pretty worried about making ends meet.

I found a way to solve unemployment benefits suddenly stopping, watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4b996DBH11w

Ugh, I feel ya. The same thing happened to me last month. It's like they just forget about us once we submit those forms. Have you tried calling them? It's a pain, but sometimes that's the only way to get answers.

•I've been trying to call for days, but it's impossible to get through. It's so frustrating! 😤

•Pro tip: call right when they open. I managed to get through after only 30 minutes on hold that way.

I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds too good to be true. Has anyone else tried this?

•$20 just to talk to someone? That's ridiculous. The system is so broken.

•I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. Saved me hours of frustration. Worth every penny imo.

•How does it actually work? Do they just keep redialing until they get through?

•Yeah, basically. They have some kind of automated system that navigates the phone tree and waits on hold. When a real person picks up, it calls you. Pretty clever tbh.

Here's what you need to do: 1. Keep calling every day. It sucks, but persistence pays off. 2. Check your online account for any messages or updates you might have missed. 3. Send a follow-up email through the online portal if possible. 4. If you have a local unemployment office, try going in person. 5. Contact your state representative. Sometimes they can help push things along. 6. Document everything: dates you submitted forms, called, etc. Remember, you're not alone in this. The system is overwhelmed, but don't give up. Your benefits will likely be backdated once they sort it out. Hang in there!

Have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes important emails end up there. Also, make sure your contact info is up to date in their system.

I'm in the exact same boat. Been waiting for 6 weeks now. Starting to panic about bills. This whole situation is so stressful. 😰

•Hang in there, friend. We're all struggling together. Have you looked into local food banks or assistance programs while you wait?

•Thanks for the support. Yeah, I've been checking out some local resources. It helps, but I'm still worried about rent.

PSA: If your benefits stop suddenly, it could be due to ID verification issues. Make sure you've submitted all required documents. They don't always tell you when something's missing. 🕵️♂️

This happened to me last year. Turns out they had a glitch in their system and a bunch of us got our benefits cut off by mistake. Took weeks to fix. Might be worth asking if there are any known system issues when you get through.

•Classic government efficiency right there 🙄 Always blame it on a 'glitch

I went through something similar a few months back. Here's what finally worked for me: I sent a message through the "Contact EDD" feature in my online account AND mailed a physical letter to my local EDD office explaining the situation. Make sure to include your Social Security number, the date you submitted the questionnaire, and any confirmation numbers you received. Also, if you have a disability case worker assigned to you, try reaching out to them directly - they sometimes have more pull than the general customer service line. Don't give up! The squeaky wheel gets the grease with EDD. Your benefits should be backdated once they sort this mess out.

•This is super helpful advice! I didn't even think about mailing a physical letter. Do you happen to know if there's a specific address for the local EDD office, or should I just look it up on their website? Also, how long did it take after you sent the letter to get a response? I'm willing to try anything at this point!
