Disability benefits on hold - forgot to fill out survey? Need help reaching EDD rep ASAP!
Hey everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle. My disability benefits have been put on hold and I can't seem to figure out why. I think I might have forgotten to fill out some survey they sent me. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice on how to get things moving again? I've been trying to reach a live representative but no luck so far.

Ugh, classic bureaucracy nonsense. I swear they make these processes complicated on purpose. Have you tried checking your online account? Sometimes they post notices there about missing documents or surveys.

•Thanks for the suggestion! I did check my online account, but there's nothing there about a missing survey. It's so frustrating 😤

•Maybe try calling first thing in the morning? I've had better luck getting through to someone that way.

I had a similar issue last year. Turns out they sent the survey to my old address. Double-check that they have your current contact info on file.

Have you tried reaching out to your local state representative's office? Sometimes they can help cut through the red tape and get answers faster.

Yo, I found a way to actually get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Check out this video: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•I was skeptical at first too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

•20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone...

•I get it, but for me, it was worth it to finally get my issue resolved. Time is money, ya know? 🤷♂️

The whole system is a joke. I've been dealing with benefit issues for months now. It's like they want us to give up and go away. 🤬

Here's what I've learned from my experience with disability benefits: 1. Document everything. Keep a log of all your calls, emails, and any correspondence you receive. 2. Be persistent. Sometimes you have to call multiple times before you get someone who can actually help. 3. Use multiple channels. Try phone, email, and even social media to get in touch. 4. Know your rights. Familiarize yourself with the disability benefits policies in your state. 5. Consider getting an advocate. There are non-profit organizations that can help you navigate the system. 6. If all else fails, contact your local government representative or ombudsman. Hope this helps! Don't give up, you'll get it sorted eventually.
