Can't reach SDI rep on phone - Tried everything, need help!
I've been trying to get through to the state disability office for weeks now. Every single time I call, I can't connect to a representative. It's driving me crazy! Has anyone else had this problem? Any tips on how to actually reach a human being there?

Ugh, I feel your pain! I've been dealing with the same issue for months. It's like they don't want us to actually talk to anyone. š¤¬

Have you tried calling right when they open? I heard that might help

Pro tip: Try calling on Wednesdays around 10:30 AM. For some reason, I've had better luck getting through then. Also, make sure you have all your info ready when you call!

I found a method that actually works to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

$20? That's ridiculous. We shouldn't have to pay to talk to our own government š¤¬

20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep just to talk to someone...

I get it, but for me, it was worth every penny. Time is money, and I wasted so much time trying to get through on my own.

I know it sounds sketchy, but I swear it worked for me. After weeks of trying, I was desperate enough to try anything

Can you give more details about how it works? Is it legit?

Sure! You just go to the website, choose the department you need to call, pay the fee, and they start calling for you. When they get a real person, your phone rings and you're connected. Saved me hours of frustration

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for way too long: ā¢ Call exactly at 8:00 AM when they open ā¢ If you get a busy signal, hang up and immediately redial ā¢ Keep doing this for at least 30 minutes ā¢ Try different days of the week (I had luck on Wednesdays) ā¢ If you get through to the automated system, DO NOT press anything. Wait for it to transfer you ā¢ Have all your info ready so you don't waste time once you get someone It's a pain, but persistence is key. Good luck!

This is ridiculous. We pay taxes for this service, and we cant even use it properly. Has anyone tried contacting their local representative about this issue?

I did! Sent an email to my state senator. Got a generic response saying they're 'working on improving the system' š

Maybe we should start a petition or something? This is clearly affecting a lot of people.

Here's what I've learned after dealing with this for way too long: 1. Persistence is key. Keep calling, even if it feels hopeless. 2. Try different times of day. Early morning (right when they open) or late afternoon sometimes works better. 3. Use the online portal if possible for simple questions or updates. 4. Have all your information ready before you call. They might actually pick up when you least expect it! 5. Consider using a call-back service if you're really desperate (like the one mentioned above). 6. Document everything. Write down who you talked to, when, and what they said. 7. Be polite but firm when you do get through. Remember, the person on the other end is probably overwhelmed too. Hope this helps someone. We're all in this frustrating boat together! š£āāļø

Pro tip: if you have a friend or family member who speaks another language, try the non-English line. Usually way shorter wait times!
