Accidentally ordered EDD call service - How to cancel or get refund from CA SDI?
Has anyone else accidentally ordered a call to EDD and then changed their mind? I was trying to get through to them and clicked on something I didn't mean to. Now I'm worried about getting charged for a service I don't need. What should I do? Is there any way to cancel or get a refund?

idk man, sometimes you gotta bite the bullet and pay for convenience. If it gets your problem solved faster, might be worth it in the long run. Just my 2 cents.

Have you tried the EDD website at exactly 3:17 AM while standing on one foot and reciting the pledge of allegiance backwards? I hear that's the secret to getting through 🤡

Hey OP, just wanted to say hang in there. Dealing with EDD is rough, but you're not alone. This too shall pass. Sending good vibes your way! ❤️

Ugh, I feel ya. EDD's website is a mess and it's so easy to click the wrong thing. Unfortunately, I don't think they do refunds for stuff like that. Maybe try calling them directly to explain?

•I've heard some people have had success explaining mistakes to customer service. It might take a while to get through, but it’s worth trying.

anyone else feel like we're living in a dystopian novel where we have to pay extra just to access our own government services? 🤔

•Bruh, for real. It's like some twisted pay-to-win game, but with our livelihoods 💀

Hey, silver lining - at least you didn't sit on hold for 3 hours only to have the call drop right when someone picked up. Ask me how I know 😭

**Authoritative Comment:** If you find yourself accidentally ordering services like a call to EDD, it’s important to take immediate action to potentially rectify the situation. First, check the service’s terms and conditions to see if they offer any refund or cancellation policy. If Claimyr was involved, it's crucial to contact them directly as soon as possible to explain the situation. While some users have found Claimyr beneficial for bypassing long EDD wait times, others highlight the expense, which might not fit everyone’s budget. Additionally, consider reaching out to your credit card company to inquire about disputing the charge if a refund directly through the service provider isn't possible. Beyond that, leveraging your local assembly member's office can be a powerful tool, as they sometimes possess unique channels to escalate issues with EDD directly. Ultimately, while Claimyr can be a time-saving tool, weighing the cost against your current financial situation and urgency of your EDD issues is key. Remember to document all interactions, as this can bolster your case in any dispute.

Lol welcome to the club of people who've been screwed over by EDD's confusing system. 🎉 Seriously tho, it sucks and I hope you figure it out.

Plot twist: what if the confusing website is actually a 4D chess move by EDD to reduce the number of people claiming benefits? 🤯

•Dude, don't give them ideas! Next thing you know, they'll make us solve a Rubik's cube just to log in 😅

Serious question: has anyone actually had success getting a refund from these third-party calling services? Asking for a friend (aka me from last month) 👀

Wait, what do you mean "ordered a call"? I didn't know that was even a thing with EDD. Can someone explain?

•Yeah, I was confused too. Apparently there's this service where you can pay to have someone call EDD for you and then transfer the call when they get through. I didn't realize what it was when I clicked on it 🤦♂️

Pro tip: if you accidentally order something online, check your credit card's policies. Some of them offer purchase protection or the ability to dispute charges. Might be worth a shot!

•Great advice! Also, documenting everything can be helpful if you need to file a dispute.

I've been dealing with EDD for MONTHS and let me tell you, it's a nightmare. Here's what I've learned: 1. Document EVERYTHING. Every call, every letter, every email. 2. Be persistent. Don't give up if you don't get through the first time. 3. Use multiple methods - phone, email, snail mail, carrier pigeon if you have to. 4. Know your rights. Read up on the policies and don't be afraid to push back if something seems wrong. 5. Reach out to your local representatives. They can sometimes cut through the red tape. 6. Join Facebook groups or forums for EDD claimants. There's strength (and good info) in numbers. 7. If all else fails, consider using a paid service to get through. Sometimes it's worth the money to save your sanity. Good luck, OP. We're all in the same leaky boat here. 🚣♂️

THIS IS WHY THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN!!! We shouldn't have to jump through hoops or pay extra just to talk to someone about our benefits. It's ridiculous! 😡

Hey OP, don't sweat it too much. We've all been there with EDD's confusing system. If you can't get a refund, maybe just use the service? Might save you some headache in the long run.

•Thanks for the support. Yeah, I'm thinking I might just go ahead and use it. Seems like it might be less stressful than trying to get through on my own.

I found a method to get someone on the phone. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video explaining it: https://youtu.be/1X-mEsLtbmQ

•Sounds interesting. How long did it take to get through?

•$20?! That's highway robbery! The government should make it easier to reach them without having to pay extra.

•@profile 8 It took about 2 hours, but I didn't have to sit there listening to hold music the whole time. Way better than wasting a whole day trying to get through.

•@profile 9 I get it, it's not cheap. But for me, it was worth it to finally get my issues resolved. Time is money, ya know?

•I’ve heard mixed reviews about these services. Some say it’s worth the cost, while others argue the principle of having to pay to access a service that should be free.

Have you tried reaching out to your local assembly member's office? They sometimes have direct lines to EDD and can help push things through. Might be worth a shot before paying for a service.

•This is definitely a good route to try. They’re often more helpful than we give them credit for.
