If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I'm new here but going through something similar - my SDI is ending next month after a car accident and I'm still not cleared to work. Reading through these responses has been so helpful! I had no idea about the DE 2525XX form or that extensions were even possible. My case worker never mentioned this option. Does anyone know if there's a limit to how many times you can extend SDI, or is it just the one extension up to 52 weeks total that Miguel mentioned? Also, for those who got extensions approved, how long did the review process typically take? I'm worried about having a gap in benefits while they decide.

Welcome to the community! From what I understand, the 52 weeks is the maximum total for SDI (including your initial claim plus any extensions), not 52 weeks of extension on top of what you've already received. So if you've already used 6 months of SDI, you'd potentially have about 6 more months available through extension. As for processing time, it can vary a lot - I've seen people get approval in 1-2 weeks when the paperwork is complete, but others wait 4-6 weeks. The key is getting your doctor to submit the forms promptly and following up with EDD. Definitely don't wait until your benefits actually end to start the process! You can begin the extension request a few weeks before your current benefits expire to avoid any gaps.

As someone who's been through this exact situation, I want to echo what others have said about acting quickly on the SDI extension. One thing I'd add is to consider reaching out to a disability advocate or legal aid society in your area if you run into roadblocks. Many offer free consultations for SDI issues. Also, while you're waiting for the extension decision, look into local emergency assistance programs - some counties have temporary financial assistance for people caught in these benefit gaps. Food banks and utility assistance programs can help stretch whatever resources you have. It's frustrating that the system has these gaps, but there are people and organizations who understand and can help navigate it. Don't be afraid to ask for help from multiple sources while you're recovering.

This is such valuable advice, thank you! I never thought about reaching out to disability advocates or looking into emergency assistance programs. The stress of potentially losing income while still recovering makes it hard to think clearly about all the options available. Do you happen to know if these local assistance programs typically have long waiting lists, or are they usually able to help fairly quickly? I'm trying to plan ahead in case the SDI extension takes longer than expected to process. Also, did you find any particular type of organization more helpful than others when you went through this?

This is exactly why I always tell people to keep a backup of their login info and maybe even take screenshots of important pages. I learned the hard way after getting locked out of my UI account last year. One tip I'd add to Maya's great solution - if you're still having trouble with the BPO reset, try doing it from an incognito/private browser window. Sometimes the regular browser has cached credentials that interfere with the reset process. Also, if anyone is reading this and hasn't had issues yet, consider setting up the EDD Debit Card online access as a backup way to check your payment status when the main portals are acting up.

That's such smart advice about the incognito window and keeping screenshots! I wish I had thought of that before this whole mess started. The EDD Debit Card backup is brilliant too - I didn't even know you could check payment status that way. Thanks for the extra tips Paolo! This community is amazing, I've learned more helpful workarounds in this one thread than from hours of searching EDD's official help pages.

As someone who works in IT, I can explain why this happens so frequently with EDD's system. They're running on legacy infrastructure that wasn't designed to handle the volume of users they have now. The account lockout triggers are way too sensitive - even legitimate login attempts can trip the security system if there's any network lag or session timeout issues. One thing I haven't seen mentioned yet: if you're still having problems after trying all these great solutions, check if your internet provider is blocking any EDD domains. Some ISPs accidentally flag government sites as suspicious. You can test this by trying to access your account from a different network (like your phone's hotspot) or using a VPN. Also, for anyone dealing with this in the future - the system tends to have the most issues during peak hours (9 AM - 12 PM and 1 PM - 4 PM on weekdays). Try logging in during off-peak times like early morning (6-8 AM) or evenings (after 6 PM) for better success rates. Maya, I'm so glad the BPO reset worked for you! That's definitely the most reliable workaround right now.

As someone who just joined this community after struggling with my own EDD nightmare, this thread is incredibly valuable! I've been trying to reach them about my disability claim for over a week with no luck. The Spanish queue trick is genius - I never would have thought of that approach. It's absolutely mind-boggling that we need to become experts in navigating their broken phone system just to get basic information about our own benefits. Logan, huge congrats on finally breaking through and getting your issue resolved! Your detailed breakdown of what worked gives me hope that persistence and the right strategy can actually pay off. I'm definitely going to try the 8am Spanish queue approach tomorrow morning. Thank you everyone for sharing these real-world solutions!

Welcome to the community! It's great to see how this thread is helping so many people who are dealing with the same EDD frustrations. The strategies shared here really do work - I was skeptical about some of them at first, but seeing Logan's success story proves that persistence combined with the right approach can break through their system. The Spanish queue trick seems to be the real game-changer that multiple people have had success with. Good luck with your call tomorrow morning, and don't hesitate to ask if you run into any other issues along the way!

Wow, this thread is exactly what I needed to see! I'm dealing with a similar situation - my SDI claim has been stuck in "pending review" since mid-February and I was starting to lose hope after countless failed call attempts. Reading through everyone's experiences and seeing Logan's success story is incredibly encouraging. The Spanish queue trick is brilliant - I never would have thought to try that approach. It's honestly ridiculous that we have to become strategic masterminds just to reach someone about our own disability benefits, but I'm so grateful this community exists to share these workarounds. I'm definitely going to try the combination of calling right at 8am and using the Spanish queue option. Thank you everyone for sharing your real experiences and solutions - this is exactly the kind of practical help that makes all the difference when you're dealing with EDD's broken system!

I'm so glad this thread is helping you too! As someone who's also new to navigating EDD's maze of a system, it's incredible how much collective wisdom this community has built up. The fact that Logan went from complete frustration to success in just one morning using these strategies gives me so much hope. I'm planning to try the same approach - Spanish queue at 8am sharp - for my own pending claim. It's honestly crazy that we need a whole playbook just to talk to someone about our benefits, but at least we're all figuring it out together. Keep us posted on how it goes with your call!

I just switched to direct deposit about 6 months ago and it's been a game changer! No more worrying about mail delays or lost checks. One thing I'd add to all the great advice here - make sure you keep your old checking account open for at least 2-3 months after making the switch, just in case there are any delays or issues. Also, I found that calling on Tuesday or Wednesday mornings around 8:30 AM gave me the best chance of getting through to someone quickly. The whole process took about 2 weeks to fully take effect for me. Good luck!

Thanks for sharing your experience! The Tuesday/Wednesday morning tip is really helpful - I never thought about timing it like that. Two weeks seems pretty reasonable for the whole process. Did you have any issues with the transition or did everything go smoothly?

0 coins

That's a really smart tip about keeping the old account open! I hadn't thought about that but it makes total sense. Better to be safe than sorry with government payments. Thanks for sharing your experience - it's reassuring to hear from someone who actually went through the process successfully!

Just wanted to share my recent experience - I successfully switched to direct deposit last week using the online method that Isabella mentioned! It was surprisingly straightforward once I found the right section on the website. The key was making sure I had my routing number and account number written down correctly (I double and triple checked). The whole online process took maybe 10 minutes, and I got a confirmation email right away. Now I'm just waiting to see my next payment hit the account directly. For anyone still struggling with phone calls, definitely try the online route first - it saved me so much frustration!

0 coins

That's awesome that the online method worked so well for you! I'm definitely going to try that route first instead of dealing with the phone system. Quick question - do you remember what section it was under exactly? I want to make sure I'm looking in the right place when I log in. Also, did you need any other documents besides your bank info?

I've been lurking on this thread because I'm dealing with similar EDD form issues! Reading through everyone's experiences has been super helpful. Just wanted to add that when I called EDD yesterday about my forms, the rep told me they've been having technical issues with their email system lately - apparently a lot of people are getting forms that aren't displaying properly. She said the best thing to do is call and let them know you received forms via email but can't access them properly. They can either read you the questions over the phone or send physical copies. Just make sure to mention the specific form numbers (DE 2517 and 4365DI in your case) so they can pull up the right ones. Also, if you do end up waiting on hold, don't give up! I was on hold for almost 2 hours but the rep was really helpful once I got through. Sometimes persistence really pays off with EDD. Hope this helps and good luck getting it sorted out! 🤞

Thanks for sharing that info about the email system issues! That actually explains a lot - I was wondering if it was just me having trouble with the forms displaying properly. It's frustrating that they're having technical problems but at least now I know it's not something I'm doing wrong. Definitely going to call and mention the specific form numbers like you suggested. Two hours on hold sounds brutal but worth it if you get the help you need! 😅

This is such a timely post! I'm actually going through the same thing right now with my disability claim. Got those exact same forms (DE 2517 and 4365DI) in my email last week and was totally stumped on how to handle them. After reading through all these comments, I'm definitely going to try calling at 8 AM sharp tomorrow and ask for a reference number. The tip about EDD having email system issues makes so much sense - I thought I was going crazy trying to figure out why the forms looked so weird! @Logan Greenburg have you had any luck getting through to them yet? I'm curious to hear how it goes if you try any of these suggestions. This community is awesome for sharing real experiences instead of just the official runaround we usually get! Thanks everyone for all the practical advice - feeling way less stressed about this whole process now 🙏
