When are July 2025 CalFresh emergency allotments being deposited? Seeing different dates
Has anybody received their emergency CalFresh allotment for July 2025 yet? I'm seeing conflicting info everywhere. BenefitsCal website says deposits start on the 7th, but the county office recording said the 8th, and my neighbor (who's also on CalFresh) swears they always come on the 10th. I've got bills coming due and really need to plan my budget. Usually I see the extra amount on my EBT by now but nothing's showing up. Anyone got theirs yet? My regular benefits loaded fine on the 2nd (I'm in the B-H batch), but no emergency supplement. Thanks!

•Same boat! I'm in Sacramento County. Wonder if it's a statewide delay or just some counties?

The July 2025 emergency allotments are scheduled for deposit between the 7th and the 10th of the month, depending on your case number. This month there's been a slight processing delay due to the new benefit calculation system implementation. The county offices confirmed that all emergency allotments should be fully distributed by July 12th. If you need to verify your specific deposit date, you should call your county office and provide your case number. They can tell you exactly when your emergency allotment will be available on your EBT card.

•Thanks for the info! I'll try calling tomorrow. I've been trying to get through for 2 days but keep getting the "call volume too high" message and disconnected.

•I CALLED THE COUNTY 4 TIMES TODAY and kept getting disconnected!!! How are we supposed to get answers when they wont even pick up the phone?? This is ridiculous, people are HUNGRY and they just make us wait and wonder!

I'm in Fresno and mine just hit about an hour ago! Check your balance again. They seem to be loading them in batches throughout the day.

This happened back in April too. The emergency allotments were delayed by almost a week because of some "system update" they were doing. I got my regular benefits on time but the emergency amount didn't show up until the 14th! And of course nobody at the county office could tell me anything when I called. BTW does anyone know if these emergency allotments are continuing past September? I heard a rumor they're ending but haven't seen anything official.

•You're right to be concerned about the future of emergency allotments. According to the latest CDSS bulletin, the emergency allotments are currently authorized through September 2025, but their continuation beyond that date depends on both the state budget situation and federal approval. The county should send notices about any changes at least 30 days before they take effect.

I was struggling with the same issue! After two days of constantly calling the CalFresh office and getting nowhere, I tried using Claimyr (claimyr.com) and finally got through to a real person at the county. They confirmed my emergency allotment is scheduled for deposit tomorrow (the 8th). You can see how it works in their video: https://youtu.be/eZ19FHRETv8?si=_CXnXqNXbLl26WB8 The worker also told me they're processing them in batches based on the last digit of your case number this month because of the new system implementation.

•Thank you! I've never heard of that service before. I'll check it out if I can't get through tomorrow. Did they say what batch schedule they're using? My case number ends in 5.

Just to clarify some confusion I'm seeing in this thread - the extra amounts being discussed are NOT the same as the pandemic emergency allotments that ended years ago. These are the Summer Nutrition Supplement Program benefits that started in 2024 for families with children during summer months. They're distributed from June through August each year to households with school-age children to help with increased food costs when school meal programs aren't available. If you don't have children in your household, you wouldn't be eligible for these supplements. Regular CalFresh benefits should continue to load on your standard issuance date based on the first letter of your last name (1st through 10th of each month).

•Oh! That would explain a lot. I do have kids (8 and 11), so I should be getting the supplement. Looks like I need to specifically ask about the "Summer Nutrition Supplement" when I call, not just "emergency allotment". Thanks for clarifying!

•Wait seriously?? I don't have kids so I've been waiting for nothing?? Why didn't they make this clear in any of their communications?? 🤬

I just got off the phone with my worker (after trying ALL DAY). She said the Summer Nutrition benefits are delayed because they're verifying school enrollment for all children. Mine should deposit by Friday. She also said if you changed addresses recently or had any household changes, that could delay it too. Has anyone who's case had recent changes received theirs yet??

•I did report a new job last month on my SAR7 but still got mine today. Maybe it depends on the county?

Update from the CalFresh office: They've confirmed that all Summer Nutrition Supplement benefits for July will be completely issued by July 12th. The schedule is: - July 7-8: Case numbers ending in 0-3 - July 9-10: Case numbers ending in 4-6 - July 11-12: Case numbers ending in 7-9 If your case number ends in 5, you should see your supplement arrive tomorrow or on the 10th. If you don't receive it by the scheduled date, contact your county office immediately as there may be an issue with your account or eligibility.

•THANK YOU! This is exactly what I needed to know. My case ends in 5 so I'll expect it tomorrow or the next day. Really appreciate the specific information.

Just wanted to add that I called the EBT customer service line (1-877-328-9677) and they can also tell you if there are any pending deposits scheduled for your card. It's sometimes easier to get through to them than the county office. They told me I have a pending deposit for tomorrow, which matches what Giovanni said about the case number schedule. Might save some people the frustration of calling the county office over and over!
