CalFresh EBT deposit timing today? Still waiting for February benefits
Has anyone actually gotten their CalFresh benefits loaded to their EBT cards in the last couple hours? My deposit normally hits early morning on the 12th (based on my case number ending in 2), but it's already 2pm and nothing's showing up yet. Called the EBT hotline but it just says my balance is still $7.82 from last month. Getting kinda worried since I planned my grocery shopping for tonight. Is there a system delay today or should I be contacting my caseworker?

CalFresh benefits are typically issued between the 1st and 10th of each month based on the last digit of your case number, with some counties extending to the 12th. For February 2025, there have been some processing delays reported. The EBT hotline isn't always updated in real-time with deposit information. If your benefits don't appear by end of day, I'd recommend calling your county office tomorrow morning. They can check if there's an issue with your specific case.

•Thanks for the info about the maintenance! My county has always done the 1-12th schedule (Alameda), and I've gotten my benefits on the 12th for the last 8 months straight. Hoping it's just the system delay like you mentioned.

This happens to me EVERY OTHER MONTH i swear. Sometimes my benefits come at like 11pm on my deposit day. So annoying when ur planning to shop that day!!!

It's possible there's a flag on your account that's causing a delay. Did you recently submit your SAR7? Or have any income changes that might need verification? Sometimes even if your regular date is the 12th, if they're waiting on documentation verification, your benefits can be held until that's resolved. Try logging into BenefitsCal and check your messages or task list to see if there's anything pending.

If your benefits don't show up by tomorrow, I'd recommend using Claimyr to get through to a live person at the county office quickly. Normal wait times can be 2+ hours, but Claimyr holds your place in line and calls you when a worker is available. •Yes, it really does work. Instead of YOU waiting on hold, their system holds your place in line and calls you when a person picks up. Seriously saved my sanity during recertification season when everyone's calling at once.

Is it possible u missed a recertification deadline? That happened to me & my benefits stopped suddenly even tho I thought everything was ok. Or maybe u went over the Income Reporting Threshold (IRT) without realizing it? They don't always tell u right away if that happens.

•I don't think so - I just did my recertification in December and got approved through Dec 2025. And my income has been stable. But you're right that sometimes they don't communicate clearly if something's wrong.

UPDATE: Just got my deposit at 6:45pm! For anyone else waiting, check again. Seems like there was definitely a system delay today for the 12th-day people. Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions. Grocery shopping is back on for tonight! 🙌
