What is unemployment at right now - Washington ESD claim status confusion

No adjudication notice, just says pending. I'm worried I messed something up on my initial application.

Same thing happened to me last month. Took 4 weeks before anything changed, then suddenly got approved and received all back payments at once.

Also check your spam folder for emails from Washington ESD. Their system sometimes sends important notices that get filtered out.

Try calling right when they open at 8am. That's when I had the best luck getting through before the lines get completely jammed.

How would I know if that's the issue? My account doesn't show any requests or missing information.

Unfortunately the system doesn't always show you what's happening behind the scenes. That's why talking to an actual person can be so helpful for getting real answers.

Not really. The online system is pretty limited in what it shows you. Phone contact is really the only way to get detailed status information.

File a complaint with your state representatives if it goes much longer. They sometimes can help push things along.
