Still waiting for ESD 1099-G tax form - where to find it online for 2025 filing?

Has anyone received their 1099-G from ESD yet? I collected unemployment for about 3 months last year and need to file my taxes soon. I've checked my eServices account but can't find where to download the form. In previous years they mailed it, but I've moved twice since then and I'm worried it went to my old address. The IRS website says these forms should be available by January 31st and it's already February 6th. Is there a specific section of the ESD website where the 1099-G forms are posted? Or do I need to call and request one?

They should be available in your eServices account. Log in and look under the 'Document' tab or 'Letters and Notices' section. That's where mine was last year. I think they still mail them too, but the online version should be there already.

Thanks, I checked there but don't see anything for 2025 tax year (for 2024 benefits). I see my 1099-G from last year though. Maybe they're just running behind?

The IRS deadline for issuing 1099-Gs is January 31st, but ESD sometimes runs a week or two behind. You can call them directly to request it, but be prepared to wait. When I needed mine urgently last year, I used Claimyr (claimyr.com) to get through to an agent quickly - saved me hours of hold time. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3. The agent was able to email me a copy of my 1099-G the same day.

Hey there, I just got mine in the mail yesterday so they're definitely sending them out now. If you updated your address with USPS your mail should forward, but ESD might still have your old address on file. Try calling the tax form request line at 360-486-2031 and follow the prompts - that's specifically for 1099-G requests.

Just to add to this excellent advice - make sure you update your address directly with ESD for future communications. Mail forwarding with USPS typically only lasts a year, and government documents like 1099-Gs often have "do not forward" instructions to the post office.

Check if that amount includes taxes they withheld. The 1099-G shows the TOTAL benefit amount before any taxes were taken out. Also remember it includes the extra $300/week pandemic supplement if you received benefits early in the year.

ESD definitely started mailing them out last week, but they haven't uploaded all of them to eServices yet. For those who need it right away, you have three options: 1. Call the dedicated 1099-G request line at 360-486-2031 2. Submit a secure message through your eServices account specifically requesting your 1099-G 3. If you have access to your payment history, you can calculate the total yourself for now - just add up all payments received in 2024 (this isn't official but helps for tax planning) If you've moved, make sure to update your address in the "Contact Information" section of your eServices account. Any 1099-G returned to ESD as undeliverable will be held until you update your address.

Thank you for this detailed info! I'll try the dedicated line first thing tomorrow morning. I did update my address with ESD when I moved, but it was back in November so maybe they had already prepared the mailing labels by then. Really appreciate everyone's help!

Most libraries and some grocery stores still have fax services if you want to try that route. But honestly, calling is probably faster at this point since they're actively processing these requests now.
