How do you get denied unemployment benefits in Washington ESD?
I'm trying to understand what would cause Washington ESD to deny an unemployment claim. My sister just got fired from her retail job and she's worried about applying because she thinks she might get rejected. What are the main reasons Washington ESD denies people? I want to make sure she doesn't mess up her application or do something that would automatically disqualify her. Any insights would be helpful.

voluntary quit is another big reason for denial. if you quit your job for any reason other than good cause, washington esd will deny you. good cause includes things like unsafe working conditions, significant changes to your job, or harassment
