ESD payments still 'processing' after 2 weeks - anyone else waiting?
Filed my UI claim on May 3rd and got approved right away, but my payments have been stuck on 'processing' for over 2 weeks now. Anyone else dealing with this? My eServices account shows everything's fine but no money has hit my bank account. Called ESD like 50 times but can't get through. Getting desperate since rent is due next week! Has anyone who filed recently actually gotten paid or are we all in limbo?

Same boat here! Been 'processing' for 11 days. ESD rep told me there's a payment system delay affecting thousands of claims filed after April 28. Something about their new payment verification system flagging too many legitimate claims. They're supposedly fixing it but no timeline given. I'm about ready to scream.

•Ugh that's so frustrating! Did they at least say if we'll get backpay for all these weeks? I've filed 3 weekly claims now with nothing to show for it.

I finally got through to ESD yesterday after trying for 2 weeks. Used a service called Claimyr (claimyr.com) that basically holds your place in line and calls you when an agent is ready. They have a demo video too: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3. Was skeptical but it worked - got through to an agent in 45 minutes instead of calling 100+ times myself. The agent told me they're working through a backlog but couldn't tell me exactly when my payment would process.

This happened to me back in February. What worked for me was checking if there were any "issues" listed under your claim that might not be obvious. Go to your eServices account, click on "Summary" tab, then look for "Issues and Decision Status." Sometimes there's a hidden issue that needs to be resolved before payment processes, even if your claim shows as approved. In my case, they needed additional ID verification but never actually notified me about it.

•Thanks for the tip! Just checked and you're right - there's something called "Ability Issue" that I didn't notice before. No idea what that means though. Guess I need to somehow reach ESD now :

ESD is a JOKE!! Been waiting 18 days with ZERO communication from them!!! My kids need to EAT but apparently that's not important to these BUREAUCRATS!!! The system is DESIGNED to make us give up!!! Anyone who says different hasn't dealt with this nightmare!!!

•Breathe, friend. I know it's terrible. Been there. But they do eventually pay, and with backpay for all weeks. Just gotta jump through their hoops. Hang in there.

I'm going on 3 weeks of processing and just got paid this morning! All 3 weeks hit my account at once. No notice or anything from ESD, it just suddenly processed. I didn't do anything special - just kept filing my weekly claims and checking the status online. So there is hope! Maybe they're working through claims in batches by filing date.

•That's actually really good to hear, thanks for sharing! Gives me hope this might resolve itself soon.

Quick tip - make sure your bank account info is entered correctly in the system. I was waiting for ages until I realized I'd transposed two digits in my account number when I first filed. Felt like such an idiot lol

OK so I called ESD this morning using the advice from earlier in this thread. The agent I spoke with explained that since 2025 started, they've implemented a new fraud detection system that flags claims with certain patterns. My claim got caught because I worked in two states last year. Importantly: If your claim shows 'processing' for more than 5 business days, there's likely an issue that needs manual review. The agent can often clear these quickly once you get through. The backlog is currently about 10-14 days for processing these reviews if you don't call in. If you can't get through on the phones, try contacting your state representative's office - they have dedicated channels to ESD and can often help speed things up.

•This is super helpful, thank you! My "Ability Issue" probably needs review then. I'm going to try calling first thing tomorrow morning.

Anyone seen their payment status change from "processing" to "pending"? Mine just switched and I'm not sure if that's good or bad...

•Pending is good! That usually means they've approved the payment and it's in the final stage before being sent to your bank. You should see it in 1-2 business days.

UPDATE: Got through to ESD this morning! The "Ability Issue" was because I answered a question wrong on my initial application about being able to work. The rep cleared it on the spot and said my payments should process in 24-48 hours. She also said they're seeing a lot of minor issues like this holding up claims. If you're stuck in processing, definitely try to get through to a rep!

•Congrats! How early did you call? I've been trying at 8am when they open but still can't get through.
