ESD claim stuck on 'processing-web' status for weeks - any fixes?
Filed my unemployment claim online 3 weeks ago and it's still showing 'processing-web' status. I expected it would change by now! Called ESD about 25 times but can't get through - just endless busy signals or the automated system hangs up after saying 'high call volume.' My savings are almost gone and rent is due next week. Has anybody else dealt with this particular status for so long? Did you do something special to get it moving? I submitted all the required documents and verified my identity through ID.me back when I initially filed. Starting to really stress out here...

Yeah, mine was stuck on 'processing-web' for about 5 weeks before changing to 'processing-blocked'. Turns out I had an identity verification issue that wasn't showing up in my account alerts. Try checking your correspondence folder in eServices - sometimes they send letters requesting additional info without updating your dashboard status.

•Thanks, I just checked my correspondence folder and there's nothing there except the initial confirmation that I filed. Weird that yours at least changed status after 5 weeks. Mine is just frozen!

•I've sent 3 messages through eServices already with no response. It's like screaming into the void! Did you send multiple messages or just one that finally worked?

Processing-web status usually indicates your claim is in the initial electronic processing queue. This can take 2-6 weeks depending on current volume. A few things that might help: 1. Make sure you're continuing to file weekly claims even while waiting for the initial claim to process 2. Check that your work search activities are being properly logged (3 per week) 3. Verify your identity documents were properly uploaded and accepted by ID.me 4. If you have access to your previous employer's HR contact, sometimes they can confirm they've responded to ESD's employer questionnaire The processing-web status should eventually change to either 'processing-blocked' (indicating an issue) or 'processing-complete' when approved.

•Thank you for this detailed explanation! Yes, I've been filing weekly claims and logging my job search activities religiously. I'll try to contact my previous employer tomorrow to see if they've responded to ESD yet - that might be what's holding things up.

Have you tried using Claimyr to get through to an ESD agent? After my claim was stuck for weeks, I used their service and actually got through to a real person at ESD in about 15 minutes. They have a video showing how it works: https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ?si=26TzE_zGms-DODN3. The agent was able to tell me exactly why my claim was stuck and fixed it right there on the phone. Their website is claimyr.com if you want to check it out.

I went through this same processing-web nightmare back in February. Here's what finally fixed it for me: I contacted my state representative's office! I emailed my rep with my claim info and a brief explanation of my situation, and their constituent services person reached out to ESD on my behalf. My claim was approved within 48 hours after being stuck for almost 7 weeks. Worth a try if nothing else is working!

•Same! State rep office fixed mine too when it was stuck on processing-web for over a month. They seem to have a direct line to someone who can actually do something at ESD.

My claim was stuck in processing-web for 4 weeks and then suddenly jumped to paid status without ever showing any intermediate statuses. Make sure your payment method is set up correctly in eServices (direct deposit info etc). Sometimes the status doesn't update properly on the website even though your claim is actually being processed. Also double check that you answered all the eligibility questions correctly when you filed - one wrong answer can cause delays.

•That gives me some hope! My direct deposit is all set up and verified. I triple-checked all my answers when filing because I was paranoid about making mistakes. Maybe it'll suddenly update like yours did!

Update on my earlier comment - it's definitely worth trying to speak with someone at ESD directly. The processing-web status could mean different things for different claims. In my case, it turned out there was a flag on my account because my employer contested the claim, but this wasn't visible to me on eServices. Only found out when I finally got through to an agent.

•OK, I'm convinced I need to talk to a real person at ESD. I'll try both the Claimyr service mentioned above and reaching out to my state rep's office tomorrow. I'll update here if either method works for getting my claim unstuck. Really appreciate everyone's suggestions!
