Are unemployment payments delayed this week Washington ESD?

Has anyone else noticed their weekly unemployment payment from Washington ESD is running late this week? I usually get my deposit on Tuesday mornings but it's Wednesday afternoon and still nothing. My claim shows as processed and approved like normal when I filed on Sunday. Is there some kind of system delay or holiday affecting payments right now? Getting worried since rent is due tomorrow.

mine came through yesterday around 2pm, maybe yours is just processing slower than usual

Washington ESD payments can vary by a day or two depending on your bank's processing times too

There was a system maintenance window on Monday night that might have pushed some payments back. Check your payment history on your SecureAccess Washington account to see if it shows as issued.

Good point, I'll log into SAW and check the payment status there

That maintenance always seems to mess something up, typical Washington ESD

If you're having trouble getting through to Washington ESD about payment issues, I recently discovered claimyr.com which helped me reach an actual agent when I couldn't get through their regular phone lines. They have a video demo at https://youtu.be/7DieNd3C7zQ that shows how it works. Might be worth trying if your payment doesn't show up by tomorrow.

Never heard of that service before, is it legit? I'm getting desperate to talk to someone about this.

Yeah it's real, they basically help you get connected when the Washington ESD phone system is overloaded. Saved me hours of calling.

I used claimyr too after spending two weeks trying to reach Washington ESD about my adjudication issue. Actually worked.

SAME PROBLEM HERE!! This is the third time this year my payment has been delayed for no reason. Washington ESD's system is a joke.

Have you tried calling them about the recurring delays? That's not normal.

LOL good luck getting through to anyone at Washington ESD. I've given up calling.

Recurring payment delays usually indicate an underlying issue with your claim that needs to be addressed

Check if your bank account info is still correct in your Washington ESD profile. I had payments delayed once because my routing number got corrupted somehow.

That's a good suggestion, I haven't checked that in months

This happened to my sister too, turned out one digit in her account number was wrong

is there any way to get emergency payment if this keeps happening?? i cant wait another week for my money

0 coins

Zara Mirza

•

Washington ESD doesn't have emergency payment options, but you can request expedited processing if there's a system error causing the delay

0 coins

Carmen Vega

•

how do you request that?? their website doesnt explain anything

0 coins

You have to call them directly, which is why that claimyr service mentioned earlier might help you actually get through

I work in banking and we've seen delays from Washington ESD payments this week due to some federal processing changes. Should resolve by end of week.

Oh that's reassuring to hear from someone in the industry, thank you!

Federal processing changes? Can you explain what that means exactly?

•

New federal banking regulations went into effect this month that require additional verification steps for certain government payments

My payment came through this morning finally! Was delayed by two days but showed up. Don't panic yet.

Washington ESD payments have been weird lately. Last month mine came on Thursday instead of Tuesday, this month it was Monday. No rhyme or reason to it.

That's really frustrating when you're trying to budget and plan expenses

0 coins

Right?? Like how are we supposed to pay bills when we don't know when the money is coming

0 coins

This is exactly why I ended up using that claimyr service to talk to someone about my payment schedule inconsistencies

Does anyone know if the MLK holiday affected processing this week? Sometimes federal holidays mess up the payment timeline.

0 coins

Zara Mirza

•

Federal holidays can delay ACH processing by 1-2 business days, so that could definitely be a factor

Dylan Cooper

•

I forgot about MLK day, that probably explains the delay

UPDATE: Just checked my account and the payment went through! Came in around 3pm today. Seems like it was just a processing delay.

For future reference, Washington ESD has a payment schedule page that shows when payments are typically processed each week. Might help with planning.

I didn't know that existed, do you have a link?

Ava Martinez

It's buried in their website under the payments section, not easy to find unfortunately

this whole thread is making me realize how many people have payment timing issues with Washington ESD. seems like a pretty common problem

Yeah it's definitely not just isolated cases, their payment system needs work

At least we can help each other figure out what's normal vs what needs attention
