If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

I just submitted all the information they requested with as much detail as possible. Really hoping this gets things moving! Thank you all for the help - I'll update once there's any change in my claim status.

I hate to be that person but double check everything ESD does. When I won my appeal they still messed up my payments. They only paid 4 of the 7 weeks I was owed. Had to call multiple times to get it fixed. Screenshot everything and keep detailed notes of every conversation with them!!!

Good advice - I'll definitely keep track of everything. The agent I spoke with gave me 6 weeks of backfiling to do (which matches what I calculated). I'm taking screenshots of each submission confirmation. Fingers crossed they get it right the first time!

Update us when you get paid! I'm curious if processing times have improved since my experience last year. Also congrats on working with ULP - they're amazing! They helped my brother with his appeal too.

Will do! And yes, ULP was incredible. My lawyer knew exactly how to counter every argument my employer made. She had statistics showing the business hadn't actually lost revenue when they claimed they had. Game-changer!

To answer your original question more specifically: 1) Yes, payments are delayed by one business day following federal holidays 2) This affects ALL banking transactions, not just ESD payments 3) The payment should show as "processing" in your ESD account even if it hasn't hit your bank yet 4) If you don't see it by Thursday morning, THEN there might be an issue with your claim For future reference, all 2025 federal holidays that will delay payments are: New Year's Day, MLK Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Indigenous Peoples' Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Thank you for the detailed info! You're right - I just checked my ESD account and it does show as processing. That makes me feel better. And thanks for the 2025 holiday list - I'll mark those on my calendar to avoid future panic!

The Boss

Just wanted to update - I received my payment this morning (Wednesday) as expected after the holiday. Hope everyone else did too!

A doctor's note would absolutely strengthen your case. Medical documentation supporting your need for time off that led to the separation will directly address the "good cause" requirement. I'd recommend getting that documentation as soon as possible and submitting it as additional evidence for your appeal. You can submit additional evidence up until the hearing date, but earlier is always better.

I'll call my doctor tomorrow! The ER visit was at Overlake and they already gave me discharge papers. Would those work or do I need something more official?

0 coins

ER discharge papers are excellent documentation and will definitely help your case. If possible, also get a brief note from your doctor stating that the condition required you to request time off. For the hearing itself, be prepared to clearly explain: 1) You had a medical emergency (kidney infection requiring ER treatment), 2) You requested time off for this legitimate reason, and 3) Your employer responded by telling you not to return (which your text messages prove). This creates a very clear narrative supporting that you had good cause and did not quit voluntarily.

my cousin works for the govs office (not sayin more for privacy) but she says they get HUNDREDS of complaints about ESD phones every month. nobody does anything cuz unemployment people dont vote enough i guess lol. system working exactly how they want it to tbh

0 coins

That's depressing but probably accurate. Maybe we need to organize something bigger to get media attention? If enough people showed up at the Capitol or ESD headquarters with signs about the impossible phone system, local news might cover it.

0 coins

Just a follow-up on my earlier comment - if you do contact your representatives, be very specific about your issue and what you want done. "Fix the phone system" is too vague. Ask for specific actions like "Increase staffing during peak hours" or "Implement a callback system instead of hold times." The more specific your ask, the more likely it is to be addressed. Also, tracking your call attempts can help. Document every time you call, how long you wait, and the outcome. This data is powerful when presented to representatives or the media.

That's smart advice. I've started keeping a log of all my attempts with screenshots of the call times. 26 calls so far with zero successful connections to an agent. I'll make sure my requests are specific when I contact representatives.
