If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

Since you just filed, keep checking your account in a few days for your monetary determination. That will show your weekly benefit amount and how many weeks you're eligible for. Standard benefit period is 26 weeks unless there are extended benefits available.

26 weeks should be plenty to find something new hopefully

That's the goal! Use the time wisely for your job search and take advantage of WorkSource resources.

This whole thread was super helpful. I've been putting off filing because I thought it would be too complicated but it sounds manageable. Going to do mine this weekend.

0 coins

Yeah that's what I figured. Thanks for the motivation to finally get it done.

The sooner you file the better. There's no retroactive benefits so don't wait.

Bottom line - being fired doesn't automatically disqualify you from unemployment benefits in Washington. The key factors are whether it was for misconduct and whether you meet the other eligibility requirements. File your claim and let Washington ESD make the determination.

Thanks everyone for all the advice and encouragement. I'm going to file my claim tonight and see what happens. Feeling much more confident about the process now.

Good luck! Remember to file your weekly claims on time once you're approved. Missing even one week can cause delays in your payments.

I'll make sure to stay on top of that. Really appreciate everyone taking the time to help me understand this process.

Overall, unemployment insurance is there to help you during a difficult time. Yes, there are rules and requirements, but it's a safety net that you and your employer have been paying into. Don't feel ashamed about using it - that's exactly what it's designed for.

Thank you everyone! This has been super helpful. I feel much more confident about filing my claim now.

Good luck with your claim! Remember to file online at secure.esd.wa.gov and don't hesitate to ask questions if you get stuck.

Just remember that if you're having trouble reaching Washington ESD customer service, there are options like Claimyr to help you get through. Sometimes talking to an actual person can clear up confusion much faster than trying to figure everything out online.

0 coins

Yeah I'm definitely going to check that out if I run into issues. Thanks for the tip!

I used Claimyr last month when my claim got stuck in adjudication. Finally got to talk to someone who explained what was happening instead of just waiting and wondering.

0 coins

I had to use Claimyr when my benefits got held up in adjudication and I couldn't reach anyone at Washington ESD for weeks. The agent they connected me with was super helpful and got my issue resolved quickly. Sometimes you just need to talk to an actual person instead of dealing with the automated system.

0 coins

How long did the whole process take once you got connected?

0 coins

The call itself was about 15 minutes, then my benefits were released within a few days after they cleared up the issue.

0 coins

One more thing - make sure your address is up to date with Washington ESD because they mail important notices including your monetary determination. If you miss those notices it can cause delays in your benefits.

0 coins

Good point, I'll double check that in my account. Thanks everyone for all the helpful info!

Quick question - does the 26 weeks reset if you get a new job and then get laid off again later? Or is it cumulative over a certain period?

0 coins

You can establish a new claim if you've worked enough and earned enough since your last claim. It's not cumulative - each claim is evaluated separately based on your work history.

0 coins

Thanks, that's good to know for future reference.

Don't forget about WorkSource services too. They have job search resources and sometimes training programs that can help while you're collecting benefits.

0 coins

I'll look into that. Any training would probably help me get better jobs in the future.

0 coins

Yeah WorkSource has some decent programs. Worth checking out what's available in your area.
