If I could give 10 stars I would

If I could give 10 stars I would If I could give 10 stars I would Such an amazing service so needed during the times when EDD almost never picks up Claimyr gets me on the phone with EDD every time without fail faster. A much needed service without Claimyr I would have never received the payment I needed to support me during my postpartum recovery. Thank you so much Claimyr!

Really made a difference

Really made a difference, save me time and energy from going to a local office for making the call.

Worth not wasting your time calling for hours.

Was a bit nervous or untrusting at first, but my calls went thru. First time the wait was a bit long but their customer chat line on their page was helpful and put me at ease that I would receive my call. Today my call dropped because of EDD and Claimyr heard my concern on the same chat and another call was made within the hour.

An incredibly helpful service

An incredibly helpful service! Got me connected to a CA EDD agent without major hassle (outside of EDD's agents dropping calls – which Claimyr has free protection for). If you need to file a new claim and can't do it online, pay the $ to Claimyr to get the process started. Absolutely worth it!

Consistent,frustration free, quality Service.

Used this service a couple times now. Before I'd call 200 times in less than a weak frustrated as can be. But using claimyr with a couple hours of waiting i was on the line with an representative or on hold. Dropped a couple times but each reconnected not long after and was mission accomplished, thanks to Claimyr.

IT WORKS!! Not a scam!

I tried for weeks to get thru to EDD PFL program with no luck. I gave this a try thinking it may be a scam. OMG! It worked and They got thru within an hour and my claim is going to finally get paid!! I upgraded to the $60 call. Best $60 spent!

One more thing - if your unemployment gets cut off or you go back to work, make sure to notify DCS so they can adjust the garnishment back to your regular wages. Otherwise you might end up with issues.

Good tip! I'll definitely remember that for when I find another job.

0 coins

Yeah the system doesn't always communicate between agencies as well as it should.

Thanks everyone for all the info. Sounds like I need to call both DCS and potentially use that Claimyr service to get clear answers about my specific situation. At least now I know what questions to ask.

0 coins

That's the smart approach. Getting the facts upfront will save you stress later.

Definitely try Claimyr if you can't get through to Washington ESD the normal way. Made a huge difference for me in getting actual answers instead of just waiting on hold forever.

The Claimyr service mentioned earlier really helped me understand my benefit timeline. When I called Washington ESD myself, I got different answers from different agents. Having someone who knows the system get you to the right person makes a huge difference.

Did they help you figure out when to apply for a new claim if you're still unemployed after your benefit year ends?

0 coins

Yes, they explained the whole reapplication process and what wages qualify you for a new claim. Super helpful for planning ahead.

Bottom line for the original poster - you get up to 26 weeks of regular unemployment in Washington, period. No extensions currently available. Plan accordingly and start your job search immediately, don't wait.

You're welcome. Make sure to keep detailed job search records from day one - Washington ESD can audit at any time.

And don't forget you need to file your weekly claims every week to keep getting paid, even if you haven't found work yet.

Still think it's ridiculous that Washington ESD makes this so complicated but at least now I know my money isn't just gone forever.

0 coins

Yeah the system definitely could use some improvements in how they communicate these things.

0 coins

Thanks everyone for all the explanations! I feel much better knowing that waiting week payment is coming eventually, even if it's at the end of my claim.

You're welcome! Always happy to help clarify these confusing Washington ESD rules.

I believe it's 30 days from the date of the determination notice. But don't quote me on that - check the notice carefully if you get one.

0 coins

That's correct - 30 days from the mailing date of the determination. The deadline is clearly stated on any denial notice.

Been on unemployment twice in the past 5 years unfortunately. The key is staying organized and treating your job search like a part-time job. Document everything, apply consistently, and don't let the bureaucracy get you down. It's temporary and it helps bridge the gap while you find your next opportunity.

0 coins

That's a good way to think about it. I'm hoping to find something quickly but it's good to know the safety net is there.

0 coins

Exactly. And don't feel bad about using it - you paid into the system through your payroll taxes. It's there for situations exactly like yours.

One last tip - if you're thinking about taking any classes or training while unemployed, check if they're approved by Washington ESD first. Some training programs actually allow you to skip the job search requirements while you're enrolled, which can be helpful if you want to learn new skills.

0 coins

Interesting! I hadn't thought about using this time for training. I'll look into that option.

WorkSourceWA has information about approved training programs. Could be a good way to improve your job prospects while still receiving benefits.
