TWC says I'm ineligible online but I have an eligibility letter! Need Spanish-speaking rep ASAP!

I got a letter saying I'm eligible for unemployment benefits, but when I try to claim it says I'm ineligible! I called and finally got through to someone, but they don't speak Spanish. Now I have to wait even longer for a Spanish-speaking rep. Has anyone else dealt with this? It's so frustrating!

Ugh, that sucks! The language barrier thing is a real problem. Have you tried using a translation app while on the phone? It's not perfect, but it might help you get some answers faster.

I didn't think of that! Good idea, I'll give it a shot. Anything to speed this up 😩

Be careful with translation apps tho. They can mess up important details. Maybe have a bilingual friend or family member help?

That's true, I'll see if my cousin can help. Thanks for the advice!

I've been dealing with TWC for months now, and let me tell you, it's a nightmare. Here's what I've learned: • Always keep copies of EVERYTHING they send you • Take screenshots of your online account status • Write down the name and ID of every rep you talk to • File an appeal ASAP if they say you're ineligible • Keep claiming every week, even if they say you're ineligible Hang in there, OP. It's a long process, but don't give up!

Wow, thank you so much for this info! I'll definitely start doing all of this. Did you have to appeal too?

Yep, I had to appeal twice. It's a pain, but worth it. Just be patient and persistent!

yo i found a way to actually get someone on the phone. used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. it does cost $20, but it works. check out this video: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U

Sounds sketchy af. You sure it's legit?

100% legit, I've used it twice now. Saved me hours of hold time šŸ™Œ

How does it work exactly? Do they have Spanish-speaking agents?

It just gets you through to TWC faster. You still gotta ask for a Spanish agent when you get connected. But at least you're not waiting on hold forever šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

have you tried going to a TWC office in person? sometimes face-to-face is better, especially if you need a translator.

This happened to me too! Turns out there was a glitch in their system. Keep calling and eventually you'll get someone who can fix it. It took me like 5 tries but I finally got it sorted.

Oh man, I hope it's just a glitch for me too. Glad you got it fixed!

The whole system is broken af. They need to hire more bilingual staff and fix their janky website. We're all just stuck in this hellscape together 😭

Preach! šŸ™Œ It's like they're trying to make it as difficult as possible

Have you tried contacting your state representative? Sometimes they can help push things through faster.
