Need help getting Spanish-speaking EDD rep for unemployment claim

Hey everyone, I need to open my unemployment claim and I'm wondering if anyone knows how to get a Spanish-speaking representative on the line? I'm not super confident in my English for this kind of stuff. Any tips or experiences to share?

When you call, just ask for a Spanish-speaking rep right away. They should be able to transfer you. Good luck!

Thanks! Have you done this before? How long did you have to wait?

Yeah, I did it last year. Wait time was about 30 mins, but it can vary. Just be patient, it's worth it to get someone who speaks your language fluently!

30 mins? You got lucky! I was on hold for like 2 hours last time I called EDD 😩

Protip: call early in the morning, like right when they open. You'll have a better chance of getting through quickly.

I found a way to get someone on the phone without waiting forever. I used this site's (claimyr.com) calling tool that dials the phone menu, stays on hold, waits for a live agent to pick up, then sends the call to my phone. It does cost $20, but it works. Here's a video about it: https://youtu.be/Ize0EkN4HDI

Sounds too good to be true. Is this legit?

I was skeptical too, but I tried it and it actually worked. Saved me hours of frustration.

20 bucks tho? That's kinda steep...

Yeah, it's not cheap, but for me it was worth it to avoid the stress of calling over and over. Your call tho!

make sure you have all ur employment history ready before u call. theyll ask for dates, employer names, reasons for leaving, etc. makes the process go way smoother 👍

Here's a comprehensive guide for dealing with EDD and getting Spanish-language assistance: 1. Prepare all your documents beforehand: employment history, ID, social security card, etc. 2. Call the Spanish line directly: 1-800-326-8937 3. Best times to call: Tuesday-Thursday, right when they open (8 AM) 4. If you can't get through, try the online portal and look for the language settings 5. Be patient and persistent. Sometimes it takes multiple tries 6. Consider using a call-back service if you're really struggling 7. Remember, you have the right to request a Spanish-speaking rep at any time Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
