TWC keeps hanging up when I call - best times to actually reach someone?

I've been trying to call TWC for 3 days straight about my unemployment payment being held up. Every single time, it rings once or twice then disconnects me completely! So frustrating!! I've tried morning, afternoon, even right when they open. Same result - ring then hang up. Does anybody know what time actually works to get through? I'm about to lose my mind and my landlord isn't exactly being patient about the rent being late.

This is by design. The TWC phone system automatically disconnects you when their call queue is full. It's not a glitch - it's how they manage call volume. Been dealing with this garbage for months. Even their stupid callback feature never actually calls you back. The whole system is rigged to make you give up.

So there's literally no good time to call?? What am I supposed to do if I need to talk to someone about my claim?

Try calling precisely at 7:00am when they first open. I mean literally have your finger on the dial button at 6:59am and call the SECOND it turns 7:00. That worked for me twice. Also, Wednesdays seem to be slightly better than Mondays or Fridays. Whatever you do, NEVER call during lunch hours (11:30-1:00) - that's when everyone tries calling.

Thank you! I'll try the 7am exact timing tomorrow. I've been calling around 8 or 9 thinking that was early enough, but clearly not!

Did you ever get through? How did you finally resolve whatever issue you had?

I had the same frustrating experience until I discovered Claimyr. It's a service that basically holds your place in line with TWC and calls you when an agent is available. Saved me hours of redial frustration. Their site is claimyr.com and they have a demo video that shows how it works: https://youtu.be/V-IMvH88P1U?si=kNxmh025COIlIzKh It was the only way I could actually get through to resolve my ID.me verification issues. They connected me with a TWC agent in about 25 minutes when I had been trying for days on my own.

Does this actually work? Sounds too good to be true after dealing with TWC's phone system for weeks.

Yes, it definitely works. That's how I finally got my claim unstuck after 3 weeks of payment delays. The service keeps dialing TWC until it gets through, then it calls you when it has an agent on the line. Simple but effective.

For what it's worth, the TWC online messaging system actually worked for me. I sent a detailed message through my account portal (under Contact Us) and they responded within 4 business days. Not super fast but at least I didn't have to deal with the phone system. Make sure you include your claim ID number and specific details about your payment issue.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I already tried the messaging system twice last week with no response. I think my issue requires actually speaking with someone :

Pro tip from someone who used to work in a call center (not TWC but similar system): If you're absolutely determined to get through without using a service, call exactly 2-3 minutes BEFORE they officially open. Many phone systems actually start accepting calls slightly before the official hours, and agents often log in early. This has worked for me with TWC twice.

That's BS. I've tried that multiple times and it just gives you the automated message saying they're closed. The system doesn't even START trying to connect you until exactly 7:00:00 AM.

It did work for me, but maybe they've changed their system recently. My successful calls were back in November. Things might be different now with the higher call volumes after the holidays.

Yes! Finally got through this morning! I tried the 7am exact timing trick and it worked on my 3rd attempt. Was on hold for 50 minutes but finally spoke to someone who fixed my payment issue. Thanks for all the suggestions everyone!
