PA UC claim disappeared with 'no records found' message - can't file until January 2026!
Super stressed right now! I filed my PA unemployment claim last Monday (May 19th) which I know was about 8 days late because I had some email problems and never got the confirmation links. But I SWEAR I completed everything and got a confirmation number. Now when I logged in today to check my payment status, the system says "no records found" when I search for my claims! Even worse, there's a message saying I can't file another claim until 1/15/2026! This makes absolutely no sense - it's only May 2025! Has my claim somehow disappeared from the system? Did I mess something up during filing? I'm completely out of money, rent is due next week, and now I'm panicking that I somehow lost my benefits for 8 MONTHS?! Has anyone else had their claim vanish like this? What should I do??

•Did you get it fixed?? How long did it take? I'm seriously about to have a breakdown over this...

This is a known issue with the PA UC system when you file late. The "no records found" message typically means one of two things: 1) Your claim is still being processed in the system and hasn't been fully registered yet, or 2) There was a system error during your filing process and the claim didn't actually complete properly despite getting a confirmation. The 1/15/2026 date is most likely referring to your benefit year end date, not when you can file. The system often displays this date incorrectly when there's a processing issue. You should immediately: 1. Take screenshots of everything you're seeing 2. Try to locate your confirmation number if you wrote it down 3. Contact PA UC directly - this isn't something that will resolve on its own

•Thank you so much for explaining! I do have the confirmation number in my email. I've been trying to call them for two days straight but just get busy signals or automated messages saying call volume is too high. Is there any other way to contact them?

CALL EARLY!!! Like 7:55am right when they open. Thats the only time i ever get through. But honestly even then its like winning lottery. System is complete garbage since they "upgraded" it lol

•I tried calling right at 8am today! Got through the menu and then it just disconnected me after I waited for 20 minutes. So frustrating.

I had success using Claimyr when my claim had a similar issue. It helped me connect with a PA UC agent after I'd been trying for days with no luck. Their system calls for you and holds your place in line, then calls you when an agent is available. Saved me tons of time and stress. The video demo shows how it works: https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 and you can find it at claimyr.com. Worth it for peace of mind when you're dealing with a time-sensitive issue like a disappearing claim.

•Thank you!!!! I just watched the video and I'm going to try this right now. At this point I'll try anything if it means getting this fixed before rent is due.

I work for a non-profit that helps people with unemployment issues. The 1/15/2026 date you're seeing is likely your benefit year end date, which is typically set one year from when your claim begins. The "no records found" message combined with this date suggests your claim was partially processed but stalled in the system. This happens more often than PA UC admits, especially with claims filed outside the normal timeframe. The most important thing is to get documented proof that you attempted to file on May 19th. Even if you have to appeal later, having that confirmation number will be crucial evidence. Also, be aware that the late filing might result in a "non-fault overpayment" determination for that week, but you should still be eligible going forward. Make sure to keep filing your weekly claims even while this issue is being resolved!

•wait u can still file weekly even if ur initial claim isnt showing up? i didnt kno that

@casual_user Yes, you should continue filing your weekly claims even if the initial claim shows issues. The system will hold those weekly certifications until the base claim is resolved. If you don't file weekly during this time, you may permanently lose eligibility for those weeks, even if your initial claim problem gets fixed later.

•This is really helpful information! I had no idea I should keep filing weekly. Will try to do that tonight after I hopefully get through to someone about the main claim issue.

THE ENTIRE PA UC SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO DENY PEOPLE BENEFITS!!!!! I had the EXACT same thing happen in February. Claim vanished, weird dates showing up, couldn't get anyone on the phone for WEEKS. Then they tried telling me I needed to pay BACK money from 2024 that THEY approved!!! It's all a scam to wear you down so you give up on your rightful benefits. Keep calling, document EVERYTHING, and don't take no for an answer!!

•This is a bit dramatic. The system has issues but it's mostly just understaffed and running on outdated technology. I've had problems too but eventually got them resolved. They're not actively trying to deny benefits - they're just overwhelmed.

UPDATE: I used Claimyr this morning and actually got through to a person! The representative said my claim did go through but got flagged because of the late filing. She said the system automatically puts claims like mine into a review status, which is why I couldn't see it. She released the hold and said my claim should show up in my dashboard within 48 hours. I'll post another update when I see it. Thank you everyone for the help and advice during my panic mode!

•Great news! Just make sure to check your dashboard tomorrow as well. Sometimes it updates faster than they estimate. And remember to file your weekly certification on your regular day this week, even if the claim still isn't visible yet.

•Will do! The rep did say I'll probably have an "issue" for the late week that will need to be reviewed, but that my regular weeks going forward should process normally. Fingers crossed!
