PA UC Money Network card transfer options without ATM cash withdrawal?
Hoping for some help here! I finally got my PA unemployment benefits loaded onto my Money Network card (after waiting 5 weeks for an identity verification issue to clear), but now I'm stuck with another problem. I need to transfer the money to my regular bank account but don't want to pull cash from an ATM. I tried connecting it to Cash App but that didn't work - kept getting an error message. Has anyone figured out a way to move funds electronically from the Money Network card? The website interface is super confusing and the FAQ doesn't seem to address this. Thanks in advance!

You can set up direct bank transfer through the Money Network mobile app or website. Look for the 'Transfer Money' option and you'll need to link your regular bank account. It usually takes 2-3 business days for the transfer to complete. Make sure you have your account and routing numbers ready when setting it up.

•Thanks! I tried that option but it keeps saying 'transfer limit exceeded' even though I haven't made any transfers yet. Is there a waiting period after first activation before you can transfer funds?

The Money Network cards are a NIGHTMARE!!! I waited 6 weeks for my benefits then couldn't access MY OWN MONEY for another week because of their stupid "security" measures. When I called the number on the back of the card the automated system kept hanging up on me!!! I ended up just taking out the maximum ATM withdrawal every day until I got it all off that stupid card. PA UC needs to give us BETTER OPTIONS than this garbage system!!!

•Same experience here. The whole system feels designed to make it hard to access your own money. 😞

Here are the actual options you have with the Money Network card: 1. Bank transfer - Use the Money Network mobile app or website (www.moneynetwork.com) to set up a transfer to your bank account 2. Bill pay - You can pay bills directly from the card through their online portal 3. PayPal - Some people have success linking the card to PayPal, then transferring to their bank 4. Venmo/CashApp - While CashApp didn't work for you, Venmo sometimes works better with these cards 5. Write yourself a check - The Money Network account comes with checks you can activate and use For the transfer limit issue, you need to call the Money Network customer service at 1-888-913-0900 to verify your identity and increase your transfer limits. New cards often have very low initial limits until you complete additional verification.

•Thank you for such detailed info! I didn't know about the check option - that might be the easiest solution if I can't get the transfer limits increased. I'll try Venmo too since CashApp failed.

when i called money network the wait time was like 2 hours! if ur having trouble reaching PA UC to resolve issues with ur card, try using claimyr.com to get through faster. they got me connected in like 15 mins when i needed to fix my card issue. theres a video showing how it works at https://youtu.be/CEPETxZdo9E?si=WL1ZzVZWG3KiHrg2 - saved me hours of frustration

•Thanks for the tip! If I can't fix this online I'll definitely need to speak with someone. 2-hour wait times are insane.

Hi there! Just wanted to share what worked for me with the Money Network card. I found that setting up the Money Network Mobile App and verifying my email/phone first was key. After that, I was able to set up transfers to my bank account without any issues. The first transfer has a lower limit (I think $500), but after that first successful transfer, my limits increased automatically. Hope this helps!

•Oh that's really helpful to know about the first transfer having a lower limit. I'll try setting up a smaller transfer first and see if that works. Thank you!

•Direct bank transfers from Money Network to your personal bank account are FREE - no fees. The only things that have fees are: non-network ATM withdrawals ($2.50), card replacement ($15 for expedited), and inactivity fee ($5/month after 90 days of no use).

Update in case anyone is searching for this later: I got it working! Had to first verify my phone number through the Money Network app, then create a smaller initial transfer ($400). After that first transfer went through, I was able to transfer the rest without any issues. Thanks everyone for the help!

Great to see this got resolved! For anyone else having similar issues, I'd also recommend checking if your bank has any restrictions on receiving transfers from prepaid cards. Some banks flag these as suspicious activity and may temporarily block them. If you're still having trouble after following the steps mentioned here, contact your bank to make sure they're not blocking the incoming transfer on their end.

•That's a really good point about banks blocking transfers! I actually had my bank flag a transfer from a different prepaid card last year as potential fraud. Had to call them to whitelist it. Definitely worth checking with your bank first if you're still having issues after trying all the Money Network troubleshooting steps.

Just wanted to add another option that worked for me - if you have a Zelle account through your bank, you can sometimes use the Money Network card as a funding source there too. I was able to send money to myself through Zelle when the direct transfer wasn't working initially. Not all banks support this with prepaid cards, but it's worth checking if you're still stuck. Also, make sure you're using the most recent version of the Money Network app - I had issues with an older version that got fixed after updating.

•Oh wow, I never thought about trying Zelle! That's actually brilliant since it would be instant. I'll have to check if my credit union supports that with prepaid cards. And thanks for the app update tip - I probably should have checked that first before troubleshooting everything else lol.

Just want to echo what others have said about the phone verification step - that seems to be the key! I had the same "transfer limit exceeded" error and it turned out I needed to verify my phone number in the app first. Once I did that and started with a smaller amount (I did $300), everything worked smoothly. The whole process took about 10 minutes to set up and then 2 business days for the money to show up in my bank account. Definitely frustrating that they don't make this clearer in their instructions, but at least there is a solution that works!

•This is exactly what I needed to hear! I'm dealing with the same transfer limit error right now and was getting so frustrated. Going to try the phone verification step tonight and then start with a small transfer amount like you suggested. It's crazy that such a crucial step isn't mentioned anywhere in their main FAQ or setup instructions. Thanks for sharing your experience - this thread has been a lifesaver!
