Update: Used Claimyr this morning and got through to PA UC in about 15 minutes! The rep confirmed that I qualified for additional benefits within my current benefit year because I had enough work hours. They're processing it now and said my payments should continue without interruption. So relieved!
That's great news! I just tried the Claimyr service too and finally got through after weeks of trying. The UC rep said I do qualify for additional benefits since I've been working 20+ hours weekly throughout my claim period. She said to just keep filing my weekly claims as normal and they'll automatically transition me to additional benefits with no gap. Such a relief!
The PA UC system is SUCH a joke. They make up all these internal department names that mean nothing to regular people, don't explain ANYTHING clearly, and then expect us to just wait patiently while our bills pile up. I had a similar experience back in January - was told my claim was going to some special department for review and the rep couldn't even tell me how long it would take! Ended up waiting 17 days for my first payment. The whole system needs to be completely revamped.
Quick update for everyone in this thread - as of April 2025, PA UC has actually improved their internal processing times. "Cash UI" transfers are now typically completed within 48-72 hours according to the latest information from L&I. This is part of their system modernization that began rolling out in January. So @Original_Poster, you may see your payment sooner than expected!
anyone else notice how this ALWAYS happens right when your bills are due?? like they KNOW when you need the money the most and thats when they make it impossible to get through. the system is DESIGNED to make people give up on benefits they deserve!!!!
@OP just wondering if you ever got through to someone? My claim just got stuck too and wondering if state rep or claimyr worked better for you?
UPDATE: My claim was finally approved yesterday! It was the state rep that did it. Their office contacted UC last Thursday, and by Monday I got a call from a UC examiner who needed one additional piece of information about my separation. I provided it on the spot, and my claim was approved the next day. 9 weeks total but at least it's resolved now. Hang in there!

Update: Mine just hit my account at 3:45pm! Much later than usual but at least it came through. Thanks everyone for the reassurance!

Glad to hear it came through! Just for future reference - PA UC processes payments in batches and sometimes banking holidays (even ones you wouldn't think of) can cause delays. As long as it shows \
